Harris's speech hit it out of the park though. This convention has been inspiring and uplifting, probably the best DNC I've ever seen, even better than Obama's.

She'd better start pulling into a stronger lead in Pennsylvania. The polls there have been worrying me. It shouldn't be this close.

We'll see how the pools shake out now that RFK Jr has pulled out and endorsed Trump. I'd imagine that most of his anti-Biden left wing  support had already moved back to Harris.

His father must be rolling in his grave at the utter state of him.

Is that a big deal? Did RFK have that much support?

Hopefully RFK has secret service now and better than Trump's

US is split almost 50-50. Last two elections have come down to tens of thousands spread across a small number of states. Kennedy's vote could be pivotal if it goes primarily to Trump.

Biden gave him secret service protection after the assassination attempt on Trump.

I've no idea if he gets to keep it after withdrawing. I would doubt it.

I'd think there is enough either people out there who are undecided who to vote for, or undecided to vote at all, that it really lies in the hands of the two candidates and their teams.

It's like blaming the referee for a dodgy free in the 12th minute that resulted in a point, for the loss of the game - with 20 minutes still left to play.

RFK Jr is unusual. His platform is all over the place, ranging from left wing to right, and then when he's talking outside of mainstream forums, the pseudoscience and conspiracy theory nonsense gets rolled out. I guess it depends on which particular issue attracted a person to him, whether that person would go with Trump or Harris.

If you're really interested, the party platform is here: https://democrats.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/FINAL-MASTER-PLATFORM.pdf

It was up for approval last week at the convention.

GOP didn't even have a party platform in 2020. They literally ran on "whatever Trump wants".

This year they have Project 2025, although it is so repugnant and unpopular that Trump is blatantly lying that he knows nothing about it.

Hopefully the RFK jr endorsement can get Trump over the line, the country can't survive another 4 years of a puppet regime
