Absolutely brutal.

In isolation, you could excuse today with the complete lack of good options up front after Ekitike went off, but would it have been much different if he and Salah were in the side? There have been so many disjointed, sloppy, tired/lazy performances like this all season that it was simply a reversion to the mean.

At no point in the last twenty minutes did it feel like Liverpool could rescue that game. No patterns of play, player on the ball constantly being overcrowded with almost no options, Brighton looking like they'd two extra players and not three or four men well into their thirties. Free kicks and crosses going over the goal or right into the keeper's arms.

PSG will take them to the cleaners. Probably City too.

At this rate, Liverpool will be grateful to even cling on to a Europa League spot.

Said on commentary that they have been outran in 26/30 of the games in league this season which is very alarming. A tough tough watch at the moment. Galatasary at home is a gift of a Champions League game and another false dawn.

I hope that Isak is not rushed back now depending on the Ekitike injury situation.
