Apres Match doing the whole half time analysis on RTÉ there!!

They are doing the whole match.

Quite a decent game so far. Forlan is a class act.

paco

Uruguay look so much better with Suarez. It allows Forlan to recieve the ball in deeper positions and run at defences or take long shots, can't think of any other player in this tournament who seems at such ease with the ball. He's been flawless from long range and most set pieces.

ross4life

I guess O Neill think's this is a crap match to?
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Tony Baloney

Forlan has had some tournament. Cert for a place on any team of the tournament and not far off being a Golden Ball winner.

Suarez cheating again.

tyroneStatto

in the race for the golden boot - how costly will that free kick at the end be that hit the crossbar from forlan?

Main Street

Uruguay's goalie was not up to this standard, undid all the hard work from the rest of the team.
Both teams went at it full belt but Uruguay's energy faded faster after 70 mins
A bit of an anti climax at the final whistle. Would have been cruel and perverse if it ended in a draw and have them playing out extra time just for a third place.

Suarez cheating again.
You should watch the game  with a bit more attention :)
The cheating at the end of the Uruguay v Ghana game was done by a Ghana player who blatantly dived to win that last second free kick. Should have been a throw-in to Uruguay - game over - penalties. Instead a great injustice was done to Uruguay to have Suarez suspended for the SF  because of a Ghana player diving :)

Last night, the game's biggest cheat was Jansson, who tried to get an Uruguay defender carded, he blatantly dived on 15 minutes and roared as if he was on the  torture rack.

ONeill

Last nine 3rd place match scorelines: 3-2, 3-1, 3-2, 2-1, 4-0, 2-1, 4-2, 3-2, 2-1
Last nine World Cup final scorelines: 1-1, 2-0, 3-0, 0-0, 1-0, 3-2, 3-1, 3-1, 2-1

I put that into my machine and this is the result:

Spain 1 Holland 0
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

J OGorman

Putting a few quid on the following bet: Dirk the Destroyer to score the 1st goal and Spain to win. Anyone know the odds for this?

Thanks

ONeill

I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

I'll go for a Holland win. They have had time to get over the giddy experience of beating Brazil, brought down to earth by Uruguay and now face the final with their feet firmly on the ground.
Robben to get Capdevila carded,  <20 minutes?

Spain will have an exhaustive analysis of why they failed to win, was it Pedro?  was it not playing Fabregas? but finally will plump on blaming the hum along National Anthem

tyroneboi

That's Forlan out of the running for golden boot now. Unless Villa or Sneijder score tonight its Thomas Mullers crown based on assists which I think is a stupid rule - they should just share it!

Main Street

Forlans's foot doesn't shrink to share a boot.

I can now reveal the hidden secret to Holland's success in getting to the Final

Holland manager
"We are going to do anything and everything we can to win. As I have said from day one, we have full respect for our opponent but we are not afraid and we are convinced we can win this match."

Quite obvious who the role model of inspiration is for Banty Van Marwijk.

Archie Mitchell

No Torres. Pedro keeps his place.

Holland back to full strength too.
