Well i cant see Rafa admitting buying Robbie Keane and putting him on the bench and then selling him back was wrong when liverpool dont win a trophy.
And i cant see him admitting putting your most creative midfielder after Gerrard (Benayoun) on the bench and only springin him as a substitute on many occasions as a mistake and possibly a reason for dropped points and defeats.
In fact he wouldnt admit to any of his moves being wrong

This would be how I feel as a Utd supporter.

Hound if Liverpool had a choice of Tevez or Berbatov would I be right in assuming you would have Berbatov?

Totally different players and people can have differing views as to what attributes are most important.

As a partner for Rooney, I have no doubt that Berbatov is the better option.

As a partner for Torres, I have little doubt that Berbatov would be the better option.

But Tevez will do what he does, no matter what formation or style of play you adopt. To get the best out of Berbatov, you need to put a bit of thought into it.

Simply must get the win tonight. Will have to go full bore from the off. What do you do about the Berbatov situation? Is he the kind of player that will be itching to get out there to make up for the disappointment of Sunday? I don't think so but I've a funny feeling he will be started. I'd go for VDS/Foster (equally as good); O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Ronaldo, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs; Rooney, Tevez. Ferguson will probably go for Berbatov though. I'd defo start Evra to see what he's like before Spurs (and Aaron Lennon) arrive at the weekend. If he's still playing badly somethnig will have to be done about that issue. O'Shea at right back over Neville for his extra height at set pieces. Anderson and Carrick is probably the best mix for centre mid at the moment.

Apparently Fletcher is fit again and i can see Fergie starting him ahead of one of those midfielders..he was in quite good form before he got injured. Maybe push Ronaldo a bit further up, and play Berbatov and Rooney along with him in a 3 pronged attack. I think berba will score at least one tonight if he starts.

Fergie being Fergie & being quite stubborn will probably start Berba.
As Seanie says, I dont believe he is the type of player that will go out & make up for Sunday.
Give him 45 mins & if he isnt up to it get Tevez on

Am i the only one desparing at carrick's recent displays? not that i think he's much better when he's playing well. anderson must play and i'd be happy with fletcher and giggs alongside him, with the ginger prince in reserve for a half hour cameo if necessary.

Chelsea, the main threat still look gone.

4 games at home; City, Portsmouth, Spurs, Gunners .....with Wigan, Boro and Hull away......Tough !

Yeah but I think him playing with Scholes a lot recently in centre mid has been a huge problem. If he just sits and doesn't have to go forward (i.e. with Anderson or Fletcher doing the running) you get the best out of him.

Yeah but I think him playing with Scholes a lot recently in centre mid has been a huge problem. If he just sits and doesn't have to go forward (i.e. with Anderson or Fletcher doing the running) you get the best out of him.

Possibly Seanie though even his passing has been poor over the past few weeks. Once Carrick starts to give the ball away, he becomes nothing more than an average PL player as his distribution is far and away his greatest asset.

In my view hargreaves has been a massive miss since christmas and the absence of a top notch DM will ultimately cost united the champions league.
