Apostrophe alert.

2-2. Ireland give up a 2 goal lead in minutes.

Austria are our bogey team.

Third time in the last four meetings in Dublin we've blown a lead.

Don't think it's a question of blowing a lead. Austria the better and physically stronger team and a draw against them will be a good result.

I think with slightly better decision making the first goal is preventable. In isolation, the point is good, and there were plenty of positives. But I do feel Austria offered very little in attack (even though they controlled the possession).

I think the shape was changed unnecessarily too. I'm a big fan of Ogbene running at tired defences and he might have done more with more time.

I thought Scales was doing good in the 2nd half, he was winning everything that came his way then he's replaced  by a debut player who gets easily dispossessed  and goal conceded.

Capt Pat

The way he just danced through the Austrian defence was something else.

He is even better than I thought he was.

Whelan in 88 is the only one I can think of

He started poorly and gave he ball away a few times but then made a great block and grew into it. Broke up a lot of play. Was really surprised when they took him off - it all went to sh*t very quickly afterwards

The sample size is vanishingly small alright in fairness.

It actually is. Been loads of good finishes and well worked goals, but Puskas shortlist stuff...?

Stephanie Roche, but that was a club game.
