It would have been Jerome's call to cut it I would say

SaffronSports

In one of the videos you can hear someone saying "Johnny" then he says we're going to cut the stream so i assume whoever is in charge of pictures made the call. Tough position to be in tbf

What are you Antrim animals at now?

Marketing ploy to get us all to go and buy the stream to watch it back.

Nice try I suppose but I doubt there will be many here believing it was as cut and dried as that. We've all been to Loughgiel.

Two clubs with shocking reputations for this crap.

Always one common denominator in recent history

With the crowd involved both clubs should be fired out of this years championship. Can't be accepting that at all regardless of who started it.

I'd also like a unicorn for Christmas and as much chance of CCC actually acting hence why clubs with reputations continue to act they way they do without any fear of consequences.

I don't disagree with this as the  course of action that should be taken- but I wonder is there anything in the rule book that allows it?  If there isn't, there is zero chance of that punishment sticking ...

Quote from: Antrim on September 12, 2026, 09:49:45 PMIs that the county champions out now given that Ballycastle finish above them? Or is it the quarters for them?

Quarters, Rossa out

St John's finished above Ballycastle

Hoof Hearted

Johnnies will play glenariffe or endas in quarters

In the rule book Disruptive Conduct covers misconduct involving players, team officials or supporters, occurring on or in the vicinity of the field, immediately before, during or after a game.

Available sanctions include disqualification, Usually sanction is ban for following year (Cargin/St Paul's) but it has been applied in year elsewhere.

As I said, fighting in the stands, regardless of starter has to have the harshest consequences.

The challenge will be if the video recording was cut then reliant on the match referee report and did they hang around.

CCC should apply the sanction and make both clubs defend their actions and publicise the transcript alongside the various film clips.

The soccerisation of Gaa support  needs shut off.

It's hard to know what way it started but to say it's always Loughgiel, well people have short memories.

Wasn't the old stand in Corrigan closed due to LD & Johnnies supporters knocking shite out of each other ?

MalluskMan

'Antrim' you're some craic!! Firing out nonsense left right and centre hoping there's some fact in your statements somewhere. Endas are not my team, have t got an allegiance in Antrim hurling, merely an interested follower, with a smidge of intel!!
Does Tosh take Glenariffe?? Does ray Matthew's side with anyone but himself?? Did St John's really throw the dummy out, for it looked like handbags between both initially until Loughgiel waterboy thought he was Hercules. Crowd trouble, takes two to tango, but one thing is right, there's an incident every year surrounding Loughgiel and never a thing done about it. County board has no balls, for St John's, Loughgiel, Dunloy Cushendall all have them squeezed that tight, any sniff of a sanction, there would be boycotts all over the shop.

But still, st Endas and Dunloy for the double tomorrow.

Not knowing what had happened, I'd have picked out one club for certain who'd be involved in the ugly stuff.

Usual behaviour at all age groups.

Got my money's worth in Loughgiel yesterday... albeit after the final whistle with the handbags and the discovery of a wee chippy next to the pitch...

I always like to position myself between the two dugouts at any game ringside yesterday!

Loughgiel are a fantastic club with a hurling tradition to envy. Unfortunately, there has always been an undercurrent with a number of their supporters, and yesterday I heard and witnessed it in full force. Year after year, they continue to let their club down. This is what happens when people go unpunished for incidents like this.

The waterboy started the melee by putting his hands on a player, so he deserves all he got.

The Johnnies are no angels either, but as has been said, there seems to be a recurring theme with Loughgiel that runs across different teams and mentors in the club  a winatall costs mentality where any player, official or supporter who gets in the way is fair game in their eyes.

It's time for Antrim County Board to grow a set and put an end to this nonsense.
