Some schools 'entice' a few Year 12's from other local schools to their Year 13 cahort. It makes a difference in some cases.
Dan Gordon in an article in today's Irish News casted some subtle aspersions at Maghera & Omagh about their intakes.

Dead right too

The Abbey did ok in the transfer window this year

Onhisboot

Id say Omagh could struggle keeping their unbeaten record in tact in the group stages. Still think they will win in the end up but few key players with club championship commitments in the early rounds could hamper them

St Pats Armagh v St Pats Dungannon MacRory group game on Ulster Colleges Facebook page at 7pm 2nite according to Irish News. Was going to go but that might save me a trip to Eglish.

Was either team full strength there? Seemed like a few players missing for both teams

bennydorano

Think there was an Errigal player missing from DG, Aidan Quinn? Dunno about anyone else. Armagh are a pretty young side this year, no huge expectations so last night was a bonus I think.

Yeah Aodhan Quinn missing for the Academy. Scored 5 points in the county final on Sunday.
