At senior championship level, there should be some official along the line keeping the score.

Mad that the refereee has to do it nowadays, amongst all the rest of the stuff he/she has to do.  Take it out of their hands.

Does anyone have any information on when such an appeal might be held?

Not connected to either Trillick or Galbally - I just hope there is a quick resolution to this. Be it a replay, or the original result stands... I think we all need clarity on the situation ASAP.
Hopefully all parties can sit round a table, hear the facts, apply the ruling, and accept it.

On board with Matthew Quinn, big lad, excellent on the ball and very fast. What age is he?

Would be a sickener for the Trillick Folk if Galbally end up winning. Harsh enough game for yourselves the other night Dromore Ram, any yarns about your take?

This weekends predictions.

Rock v Greencastle - could be a real belter of a game this, neither team all that great defensively so expect a high scoring affair with Greencastle taking it by 2 points.

Owen roes v cookstown - I think Owen roes nip this one simply because i don't see them having enough to deal with McShane if he's on it. Equally Owen roes will have plenty of fires to put out themselves.

Naomh eoghan v Aghyaran - business as usual it seems. Donegal legs will be tired with an extra game and will not be able to stick with Newton.

Pomeroy v derrylaughan - cricket score, no more needed

(Galbally v trillick) - provided it is replayed I think trillick will take them to the cleaners. They'll not be happy having to replay the game when it is no fault of their own.

Relegation play off
Clogher v kildress - could really go either way, kildress will have learnt a lot last week and will 100% bring a hunger they didn't in the championship. Clogher have a few stand out players obviously so I would expect a good game.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on September 09, 2026, 01:31:32 AMListen i played in a championship game many years ago, we won by a point. The scoreboard had it a draw for some reason, the refs book had it a draw, he was trying to book/ tick somebody after a point. And we reckon he put the score tick in the other team column, not the booking sheet. Linesman told him at the end it wasnt a draw. We had won. His report was final, we didnt object and won the semi replay.

Be guilty of that, fortunately a league game of insignificance to both teams, so no 'harm' but can be easy done when distracted by a player muttering in your ear for some reason. Adding a score though on the other team will increase (naturally) their tally by more as you've lost one they've gained one so two point turn around, they are easier spotted rather than not marking a score at all.

But this is a curious one, so from what I've seen, the ref recorded the score, after the umpires waved their flags, did the keeper restart the game? Then the linesman brought to the ref's attention that there was a 'free' leading up to the score for the other team? After consultation he overturned the score?

Was it first half or second?

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.
