Tg4 have a knack of putting on games that become a wash out.

To be fair not too many seen this coming.

People across the country probably thought that Cross were the inevitable winners, but that wasn't the view in Armagh or anyone who saw recent Cross games.

That said, Clan na Gael were woeful. The wind was there for both sides, did Clans get a two pointer at all?

Think they hit 2 of them. First score in the second half and Henderson kicked a free for 2 pointer.

Unexpected performance really and hopefully they can build on this. Games and practice will bring on Rian and others immensely

Really impressive from Cross, physically bullied CNG. I think the physicality element was huge, Madden & Clann Eireann won't be as easily bullied tho. Cross were really brutal in the league, but eventho Madden beat them in the champo group game I thought Cross looked like a team getting their act together. Everything went right for them today and CNG never got going, they looked awesome at times, but they've had a tendency to play as a threw together team of hugely talented individuals rather than a real team in recent years, what will they do next day out? Some talent available to them, must be 12 or 13 players with real county standard bonafides at some stage of their career.

Think they maybe had 3 in the second half, young Marsden had a lovely one but the game was well gone at that stage.

Scotstown cruising through Monaghan SFC. They look stronger than last year and to date, Beggan hasn't played a game yet and missing Max Maguire too. Their younger players are making a huge impact - Tommy Mallen in particular stands out. I'd be amazed if he's not on the Monaghan senior team next year.

Can't belive how poor Clans were yesterday. Crossmaglen just blew them to bits in first 15 mins and game was gone by then. Clan na Gael had no leader to stand up and be counted, to win a dirty ball and go in and grab the ball when it was needed. Soup was prob the only one capable of doing it but up front on his own is just impossible.
Cross have big men in the right areas of the field and it was the polar opposite for Clans, too small and lightweight to compete. For me on yesterday's showing Madden or Clann Eireann are the only 2 teams capable of beating Cross, I said Clann Eireann are the rightful favourites for the Armagh Championship and that it's theirs to lose but that Cross team yesterday has be doubting that...In saying all that Clans never laid a finger on Cross and were brutal.

Physically Clans are just too small for the cut and thrust of senior championship. Lovely footballers but you're right no one to pull the game by the scruff of the neck and move it on.

I know we put up a huge score but that was an aberration in terms of the gap between the teams and CE are favourites to push on. We still have a team of cubs in many ways. 5 starters and 2 subs aged 21/22 and below,  great for the future but still raw. Johnny Murtagh though balances the average age out for all of them!!!!

Cross are obviously a force to be reckoned with but Culloville will give them their absolute fill of it, would imagine Cross will come through that one though. Wouldn't read huge amounts into that Clanns game as everyone knows McConville and the O'Neills will destroy anyone if they're given half a chance at 2 pointers or if you leave them 1v1 on defenders with the likes of Rian given time to ping passes from out the field.

The winner of CE/Madden will have no fear of Cross though. Madden have never beat them in knockout championship. Interestly 6/8 teams from South Armagh this year and 3/4 semi finalists will be too.

Nope,  still kicking ball at 41 I think it is.  In fairness he was playing on the seconds team last year and keeps himself fit.
