The Omagh_Ostrich

Not much nonsense on the board last few days I notice. Could most of these troll accounts be a team celebrating last few days???

Just shows what MontyWM AI friend/predictor knows about the championship - has Pomeroy in the Senior FFS. AI doesn't know how to spell Killyclogher either. Expect a few more from MontyWM and his AI friend for Inter & Junior. He might have Trillick winning Junior for all you'd know......

Could see him calling up that younger brother of mines Oisin if we go on to win the junior all Ireland, which we probably will do, end of the day Morgan is getting on a bit, and would do no harm bringing another young face into the squad.

Quote from: An Watcher on August 16, 2026, 01:45:06 PMOut of interest, what would the split between Newtown and Dregish players be?

14 of the starting 15 for most of the year have all been Newtown, Conor Langan from Urney being the other (how Urney let that transfer go through I'll never understand).
McGovern the sole Dregish representative on the senior squad from what I can see.

Would Newtown be a mainly unionist town?

How many clubs in Tyrone is there from a unionist majority area? From the top of my head I can only think of kilyman. The likes of clogher, aghaloo, castlederg, newtownstewart and cookstown would be mixed areas but looking at the recent census unionists would be slightly in the minority.

Is Castlederg the name of the club?

I'd say west of the Bann there'd be a very aging unionist population.

I think Tyrone leagues should start a good bit earlier, then finish their league and a 2 week break before championships starts.

Would solve a few issues.

Clubs play without their county seniors and U20's then?

Why did he leave Urney?

Why did he leave Urney?
I think he played a year of underage in NE on a sanction due to Urney not having the numbers that year.
Then NE mustve sold him the dream of a move and achieving things he couldnt with Urney.
Seems to have worked anyway

There's a brave chance malachy could fancy your playing style big Watson. Kilpatrick and Kennedy have their good days behind them now and combined are only a shadow of a player you are when your on form. That being said fintona would be the only possible club I could see beating our men in junior championship this year, that of course if your on form.

Lads, tale of caution

Now, We ALL know you're only just off the teat. And we remember those days fondly.

Once there was a weird fella, and he kept being weirder and weirder. Low and Behold, before any of you could get your pecker up (fair reference)- he went whole hazelnuts bananas.

Now, unless you're a newly retired principal - in which case I look forward to a chat - it's time for bed.

Drumnquin are safe, thankfully.

Good luck trying to discuss an actual point in this clusterf*ck of a board now. It died a death long ago unfortunately.

Do all other counties in Ireland not play the league without these players?

And not much point in complaining when, for example, The Moy, concede a game at the end of the league....when they have a full panel. Not sure they have any Tyrone players but point still stands.

Most do I believe. But most also don't link the league and championship the way Tyrone do. I don't think you'd get much traction within the county to change that. The leagues in Tyrone mean a lot. And that's why there's  resistance to anything that would be seen to devalue it. It's a balancing act. But just because the majority do it differently doesn't mean it better. I wouldn't want that changed.
