Arch bigot and perennially angry wee ballix Ben Lowry has been kicked out at the Newsletter. Officially it's a redundancy because the position of editor has been eliminated for business reasons.

Hopefully he doesn't keep popping up on Nolan's radio show like an unflushable. We can do without bitter gulpins like him stirring the pot with their contrived grievances.

Ripe pickings for the TUV as an assembly candidate perhaps?

Aye he'll not disappear into the background.

He always sounded like he was about to start crying any time I heard him on radio. But I'll remember him mostly for this ballex: https://www.newsletter.co.uk/news/opinion/columnists/ben-lowry-we-witnessed-sombre-and-shocking-scenes-at-the-jeffrey-donaldson-court-hearing-4607418

Bit posh for them maybe? He's rambling and plenty bigoted but maybe not as red in the face as the rest of them.

I'd guess not. He played to a certain audience, but I'm not at all certain that he believes in half of it.

Boys o boys but that is painful to read.

There's another classic clip of him being interviewed in Belfast City Centre a few months back. He was talking about the unionist pogroms on foreign nationals.

He was trying to spoof it was happening in all areas but then the interviewer nipped his spoofing in the bud by saying it was all loyalist areas.

Have to say that it make for great tv.

I remember that.

He's got the bigotry of Jim Allister and the cringe-worthy awkwardness of Ricky Gervais, minus any humour.
