Quote from: pintandgaaman on August 06, 2026, 10:32:34 AMEarly championship prediction...
Senior: omagh to do a killyman and stay up in senior
Intermediate: gortin to bate NE and take the title
Junior: Apparently Johnny lav and the army boys back for urney the year.. be hard bate

Bring it on.
Fair point on Urney getting men back, but they cant turn water into wine up there. Is it finally time for the nearly men in Drumragh to get over the line? Probably not.

Good to see championship talk back on the board, the best time of the year.
How many finals have drumragh been in, in the past 10 years? Must be 4 or 5 correct me if I'm wrong.
They weren't far of fintona on Tuesday past and they have a lot of injuries still. Although if they were to win they wouldn't have much to compete in D2. Intermediate championship is as wide open as it's been in years, pomeroy coming down from senior and having a poor league will be looking for it. And Moy as always will have there eye on it. Tough to call. Senior I'd have Trillick missing 4-5 key players and still are a great team if they get them back will be tough to beat.

The Mayo of the Junior championship. Eskra are coming into form at the right time too. Owen Roes surely not for off in intermediate? The Moy are another nearly team this past few years, cant give it

what is owen roes record like in championship since moortown beat them in the final a right while back. cant remember anything of note. although i would have them up there this year, along with cookstown.

heard today that liam mcgeary (moy) is out for the rest of the year and still do not have michael conroy back. pomeroy seem to be in a similar boat. gortin could give it a rattle and it would be crazy to rule out the likes of rock, kildress and greencastle on a year like this.

1. Loughmacrory / Trillick

2. Pomeroy / Moy

3. Fintona / Tattyreagh

Carmen are past it. Hopefully the referees are more neutral in championship so NE wont last long. Fintona may still be well on the rip, who knows how they will do. hear theres few men coming back for the tats.
Not hard to see where you're from anyway, judging by your previous posts and the need to mention your parish rivals! :o

Ardboe v Edendork - dont rate ardboe at all
Galbally v Trillick - by 5

I agree with you on that Newtondregish game tonight was chatting to a man in the bookies in sion and theres a great buzz in aghyarans camp at the minute after getting rid of mcnulty and theres 1 or 2 young players playing fine stuff think he said one of the boys names was liam be hard to look past the donegal men in this against a weakened neewtondresgish squad after hearing that

Winthebreak

Congrats to Fintona on promotion back to D2, and Tattyreagh back up to D3.

My take for tomorrows Div.1 games:

Division 1
Eglish v Carrickmore - Carrrickmore by 5, The Eglish vengabus seems to have broke down
Moortown v Fianna - Moortown by 1, Just a game that has last minute winner written all over it, dogfight for 60 mins
Killyclogher v Dungannon - Killyclogher by 6, Killyclogher to put the recent form behind them against a Dungannon team in crisis
Clonoe v Loughmacrory - Draw, Mid table clash that will come down to a last minute 2 pointer from Lough to draw
Errigal v Dromore - Dromore by 7, A very poor Errigal team to lose to a very well drilled Dromore outfit
Ardboe v Edendork - Edendork by 4, Think Dazzler and Co. will be too much for the Rossa
Galbally v Trillick - Trillick by 2, Closer than whats on paper, Galballys a hard place to go to
Omagh v Donaghmore - Donaghmore by 5, Bye Bye St.Endas, on the flip side they get a few more exotic away days next year

Flip that moortown result upside down, us Fianna boys are the kings of last minute winners and we're making sure there is a miracle tonight.

Although, hearing that Fibrus has offered to install a mobile service tower in the battery in exchange for 2 points......

There's a lot of men on here you haven't watched a junior game all season judging by the comments! Urney will be lucky to score double digits against Fintona. There are only 2/3 contenders for the junior championship, Stewartstown, fintona & drumagh. Glenelly are gone after their 7 in a row start they are conceding over 16 points a game over the last 4. Eskra v Augher should be tight but i expect eskra to prevail and fintona will walk all over Urney (who'll try and make it very physical against a young fintona team) and then a spicy local derby between eskra & fintona.

16 points a game in the new rules is hardly considering big scoring now is it lol

It is when your only averaging 0-14 during the same period with the new rules
