Outside of Andy and the match day squad I don't think so.
Most people I have talked to this week hope we can win but hand on heart expect a Kerry win by 6 to 8 points with more than a few fearing a blowout early!

I know it's hard to judge game on game but Dublin missed and butchered so many chances that I would have more hope (a key word here!) that Mayo could do some damage.

Lads it's Kildare...but at that game in Newbridge it was amazing to see how quick they got kickouts away and how Joe O'Connor was sprinting out the field to hit his spot.

Would it be mad to have Kobe out around the middle from the start as an extra body and have him running from deep? I know he does float at stages anyway, but could work at the start.

Of course Mayo have a good chance and could win too but i seen better Mayo teams (and this year Roscommon was the best team in Connacht and look what happened them) go flaky on it at this stage and until 1 Mayo team bucks the trend, its what people expect.

Kerry are rightly favourites but I give Mayo a good chance. I am using the Tyrone vs Mayo game as a measure. I put Tyrone and Mayo at a similar level, that game could have went either way and then Tyrone held their own against Kerry. That said, Kerry have a few injured lads with more game time, plus the Clifford factor, hard to look past Kerry doing back to back. Not many would begrudge the Mayo following an All Ireland title but sentiment means little. Mayo need a lot to go right for them and for Kerry to be a bit off. Mayo also need the officals not to be giving the 50/50 calls to Kerry. They have had their fair share of those decisions this year. Kerry by 4-6pts

I think its always a bit pointless talking about past Finals.

Mayo are so young they dont have real battle scars so it's not an issue.

Also parking back to older teams, Mayo were up against that awesome Dublin team who would beat the current Kerry side 9 times out of 10.

If Mayo lose tomorrow the scars of the 2021 All-Ireland final defeat will no doubt be brought up as afterall Stephen Coen, Patrick Durcan; Mattie Ruane, Conor Loftus; Diarmuid O'Connor; Tommy Conroy, Aidan O'Shea, Ryan O'Donoghue, Enda Hession and Jordan Flynn played in that final.

That Dublin team was far from awesome in some of those finals, There to be beat and Mayo found ways to lose.


Tomorrow Mayo are up against a Kerry team who got hammered by Donegal twice this year who was far from convincing against Tyrone,Dublin in their last two games and two teams that will be playing in Division 2 next year.  A number of the Kerry players are either off form or not up to speed after their injury lay off. Another opportunity to win the All-Ireland and for Mayo leave such excuses to the past.

If Mayo win this All ireland would there be a sort of anti climax after their 2012-2017 team regarded by many as the 2nd best team of all time came so close to winning it?

I'm sure they won't care but funny the way sport goes it's not necessarily the best team gets over the line.

That Mayo 2012-17 were the moral winners at least twice in that period. Sometimes a moral victory is as good as an actual victory. You are recognised as champions but just without the silverware that comes with it.

Any listen to that podcast, they had the answer wrong at the end to name the subs brought on in the final in 24- Soupy set up the goal, Oisin who kicked the last point, Jarly who had the ball at the whistle and Ross who won a ball after a dodgy pass by Rian in the last play- Geezer said Jason Duffy and was told he was wrong but Duffy was definitely on as Gleeson broke a kickout he went for
