I see the Saudis were  at the hurling today

Poor final. Hasn't been a  brilliant year for  for hurling.

Not yet, probably would be had the Galway goalkeeper didn't pull off a few good saves.  Galway sure to have a purple patch at some stage in this final.

As I said. Its over. Double scores now

1-19 to 0-11

Wasn't over then it's over now. Poor viewing for us neutrals watching. I wonder what Galway posters on here make of this Galway display? I think Seafoid had himself convinced before the match that Limerick was past their peak.

Far from having a clue about the stick ball but you let a fired up hungry limerick team have 6 pt lead then have to play into wind then yeah...only one winner. Galway were pathetic. Clare at least fought galliantly.

Ah no, there will be a county every now and again - that we will want to hear what they have to say.
The derogatory three cheers for the losing team has faded the last couple of years thank god.

Waiting on Mayo's speeches.

Limerick were excellent. Galway were poor. End of

I see Caroline Currid the Limerick psychologist has now been involved in 6 Limerick wins and also success with Tyrone, the Dubs in 2011 and Tipp, that's some record tbf. How many other counties are investing in this sort of thing?

She got the biggest cheer of the day for some reason.

I'd say most teams have some kind of pyschologist involved.

Limerick done the simple things right today. Galway ran into traffic a lot. Missed simple hand passes. Bad wides. Hardly won any of their puck outs

One thing I noticed in hurling is the amount of ball played into forwards that 50/50 or 60/40 at best. Would t get it in the football. Do they trust their forwards more to win the ball?

Munster teams have won the last 9 All Ireland hurling championships. Have won every All Ireland since round robin was introduced in 2018, the strength and competitiveness of Munster championship a big advantage it appears

Munster teams Have won 13 of last 15 U20 hurling titles and Have won last 6 minor All Ireland titles.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Time to split Munster in two.

From the Bunker

Hurling is an Elite County sport.
Cork, Tipperary and Kilkenny have most of the titles and Cork have been quiet for a generation. The tinkering around with Leinster to accommodate Munster has created a lot of problems and made the Leinster championship look a bit stupid.
It's hard to believe the GAA is 140 years old and most of the country don't play the game. No money is invested. No encouragement - Nothing. Just recycling games between the Elite each year.

Limerick were awesome - Galway terrible.
The difference in work rate and physicality was stark.

Were they not stopped in 2024 and 2025?

This year Munster has nearly swept everything in both sports.  U20, Minor and now Senior Hurling.  Can Mayo prevent a total sweep?
