Connacht: 7 times missing
Munster: 1 time missing (2002)
Leinster: 1 time missing (2024)
Ulster: 0

So it is a novel year. I'd say if you went to Paddy Power this year and asked for odds on the semi-finals not including a province, they would have given you poor odds on Leinster and good odds on Ulster. The draw plays a big role here, this might be different under a group system.

Enjoyed that in a similar way to the enjoyment I felt when we beat Tyrone in the QF in 2010.

What is interesting is how the consolidation of most of Dublin's available panel, and the return of Ger Brennan to the dugout has clearly had a massive impact. This is not like the Gavin era, but reminds me of the 2010 vintage of the Gilroy era. Hunting in packs, one forward racking up ~10 points game, aggressively moving to the midfield ball that sort of thing.

That team was not quite yet an All Ireland winner. But it was a start. This end to the season is likely to encourage the remaining stalwarts to remain on for another season.

Getting a team in their 1st semi-final since 1957 is fortune enough.  After losing to Tyrone they got good fortune to draw Division 2 opposition in Meath who went to pieces with 14 men and Cork who's shooting was woeful.
