Only real mistake was not going for broke first half to establish a lead plus the Clifford job was poor as it often is.

Not cynical or nasty enough either. Kerry were on the ropes yet always have that threat. Sean O Sheas wide felt like it could swing our way & it seemed we froze around 60m mark ran out of ideas as Kerry scooped serious ball unmarked.

On the Kerry one where the ball is moved did the ref signal the mark or did he signal a free kick for a push before the mark was made?  It looks and sounds like the hand goes up and the whistle goes just before the mark. If it was a free he was correct to move it otherwise he wasn't

Still think playing D O'Connor wing forward and not direct replacement for O'Brien takes away from his play. Its the 1 change i make in the Kerry team and bring in O'Shea when he fully fit,C Geaney not on the panel any more?

I can see why the umpire got it wrong, it looked initially it hit defenders toe, got it wrong, thought the ref was going to have a sneaky look at the big screen on that one, the mark mistake could be as David described was a free given then impeded, think I missed that one, what was the linesman one?

Kerry are easily the better team than Tyrone since (and including) 2021. There's something there that stops them from playing the way they can I think. Kerry were 10points better today yet there was a point in it before the goal last kick of the game!

A side point, but saw today how possession at the kickout dominates the game for the next (say) 2 minutes. It shouldn't be that important, but county players rarely lose the ball these days once they have it.  As a supporter, you know your defenders just won't get the ball and it's all come from winning  the prior kickout.

A shot clock is a possible solution or making players kick the ball when they win that primary possession.

I'd be thinking that unless an umpire is definitively clear that there was touch, he should signal a wide. You know, don't try to influence the game when your purpose is neutrality.

He of course might have seen something from his angle that made it look like a touch.

But personally I'd prefer it if umpires raised their shoulders than their hands if in doubt.
