Thankfully there's a bit of tape to keep everyone safe.

That's mad stuff. Hard to 'police' all along the road but people need a bit of common sense.

You can see clips on youtube of Isle of Man bikers doing 150mph and lads sitting on grass holding out their phones to record. Must be distraction for the actual people racing.

Theres a famous clip of Colin McRae finishing the Portugal WRC 1997. He and Nicky Grist both complaining in car, later McRae said it should never have been allowed run.

Spectators ruining the spectacle is nothing new.

The TT spectators are better informed on risks because death is common and behave better.

Was going to say this is nothing new, but camera phones have made it worse

A complete waste of £16m

I see they are proposing to run pilot schemes in Derry and Belfast.

Good luck with that.

In a lot of these places economic inactivity is in their DNA.

A man who claims to have the world's smallest penis is appealing for donations to pay for enlargement surgery.

Thanks to crowdfunding, Michael Phillips, 38, from North Carolina, has already raised more than $10,000 (£7,500), nearly doubling his initial target of $6,000 (£4,500).

His penis is 0.38 inches long (0.97cm) because of a condition known as a micropenis or microphallus, which affects around 0.6 per cent of the world's male population.

In February, Mr Phillips laid claim to having the world's smallest penis in an interview with TMZ. The condition is defined as having a penis shorter than 7.5cm when stretched, but not erect.

The condition is caused by abnormal testicular development in the womb. It is often accompanied by lower testosterone.

Rare condition complicates life
Writing on his fundraising page, Mr Phillips said that the condition caused a series of problems, including with urination, which means he must wear adult nappies.

"My doctor has advised that I must use pull ups unless I can pursue a medical procedure to help increase the size and improve my ability to urinate.

"This has been a source of daily frustration and embarrassment, especially when travelling, which I like to do, and it has affected my confidence and independence.

"Over the years, my story has been featured in the news and on television, which has brought some awareness to my condition but also added to the emotional weight I carry.

"I have worked hard to save as much as I can toward the cost of surgery and injections that could help increase the girth and allow me to use the restroom more normally."

The cost of the enlargement surgery is around $20,000 (£15,000) in the United States.

Another, more expensive, option is the use of silicone implants, including one known as a Penuma device, which can cost as much as $25,000 (£19,000).

Other surgical procedures include an operation which releases the ligament that holds the penis in place. But this carries several risks, including the possibility of erectile dysfunction.

Some donors have been generous, with one anonymous benefactor giving $500 (£380).

While surgery would not cure his condition, Mr Phillips added: "Your support would mean the world to me and help me take a big step toward living with more dignity and independence."
