Out on a whimper. Louth defeat and manner of it proved very costly however winning that game Armagh was expected to win would only extend the season by another week or two was no All-Ireland or even All-Ireland final appearance in that Armagh Team,  writing was on the wall even during the league and nothing was done to improve the team defensively.

Good luck to whoever draw Kerry next as they'll need it and a bit more.

Put some respect on my name.

Got it bang on.

I had it spot on   until that late  flukey goal

Haha pure fluke but I'll take it.

Next 3 games mightn't be as accurate 😅

Congratulations to Kerry. I'd still take Galway for Sam. Let's hope Kerry get Tyrone in QF.

Galway during this championship have conceded 3-21 to Roscommon and 2-21 against Westmeath what will they likely concede against Kerry in Croke Park if they meet?

Enough to still win the game - IMO

Quote from: gallsman on June 20, 2026, 05:47:52 PMHard to see where McGeeney goes from here with this team.

May be age, miles on legs or other commitments but often wondered why sevaral players have drifted away, like
grimley, Hall, Campbell, O'Hanlon, etc.

The players all speak very highly of McGeeney but thought it odd they missing so many of the 2024 panel. Even that year wasn't Jarly Og talked back into the panel?

Many spent a long time with McGeeney getting absolutely nothing. Cant blame guys bowing out after winning Sam. Age and commitment required would be the thing, not KMCG

Blowitupref

Three changes for Meath
Killian Smyth for Ronan Ryan
Jack Flynn for Adam O'Neill
Jack O'Connor for Charlie O'Connor.

Mayo one change
Bob Tuohy for Stephen Coen
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Mayos kickout showing vs Tyrone would not inspire anyone but mayve they will put on a show at home.

Could be a very good game with lots of 2pt efforts

Fancy Mayo to let loose

Them lads soldiered gamely for years for Armagh and owed the county nothing. It's not a new concept lads in thirties stepping away from inter county panels giving the sacrifices required.

David McKeown

The end of a good Armagh team. Too much to overcome. Hard to blame anyone who would walk away after that.

Game ended in the 90 seconds before half time.

Kerry were just ok first half but very good after the break. Armagh not at the level they needed to be.

After 12 minutes Mayo 0-1 Meath 0-5.  Good save by the Mayo keeper to prevent a Meath goal a few minutes ago.

Agreeded the goal was a gut punch armagh never recovered from going into the second half.

Armagh lacked height around the middle and physicality on the breaking ball, was always going to be an ask against O'connor and Co.

Kerry going forward again a joy to watch, they make scoring look easier than it should be. With a full panel, they will be hard to stop. I don't think today's game will impact them going again next week either.

I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...
