As every pairing has a team that played Saturday and a team that played Sunday, fairest would be to put the teams with the shortest travel on the Saturday i.e. Monaghan-Westmeath and Mayo-Meath.

Yeah hoping for a Sunday game, bodies will be sore and that trip is a nightmare, I wonder will we look at flying down.

Happy to be on the outside, looking in next weekend, that's for sure.  Was happy enough with how we played yesterday bar the last 3 - 4 mad cap minutes.  Left a few scores after us for sure so plenty to tidy up before a quarter final.  A pretty clean bill of health for the squad also, which has not been the case the last few years.  Getting Thompson back would be a huge addition.

Its really 4 but they've still been very fortunate with the draw this year.
You cant really count the ulster final....

Quote from: balladmaker on June 15, 2026, 09:18:25 AMKerry v Armagh probably be Killarney on Saturday night, what you reckon?  would leave it a 6 day turnaround after yesterday's disaster.

A room in Killarney on Saturday night going for E600+ ... like WTF lol
No lights in Killarney so they can't play it too late on Saturday with the possibility of extra time/pens. A lot will depend on TV, RTE will be pushing for this one and they've Tailteann Cup and hurling on Saturday so if it's on RTE it's likely to be 1.30 on Sunday as Cork-Offaly is on at 3.30.

You know it's on around the date of the Summer Solstice where it's bright 'til after 10:30!
As long as they're not thinking of a 9pm throw-in, I'm sure they'll be OK 🙄

Just because it's still bright at 10.30 it doesn't mean you could play football in it. No one could rule out penalties  (especially with Armagh's history!) and the last thing anyone wants to see is a penalty shootout in fading light with half the crowd struggling to see what's happening. 6pm would be fine but any later and if it goes beyond the opening 70 minutes all it would take is a few dark clouds to start to cause problems.

Play it in the dark, Armagh will need all the help they can get for this one ffs
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...

Aaron Boone

Strange Killarney has no floodlights after big chunks of development at the stadium.
RTE are locked in with World Cup fixtures so don't want the hassle of a heavyweight GAA match

Kerry still my favs

Galway the last chance saloon underdog. Big men and quality kickers.
It has to come good for Joyce

Armamike

Any chance the GAA could do the right thing and schedule this for the Sunday?
That's just, like your opinion man.

Armagh4sam2024

I reckon if we have all our players back from injury, prison and rehab we can take Kerry!

Not too bad of a draw for Armagh. Dublin are hit and miss this year. Drawing Mayo, kerry or Donegal would have been harder

Am I missing something here??

Nope its me thats missing it. Had it in my head thst aramgh were playing dublin. Not the case.

Rumours of half 4 Saturday.

Lovely choice between a small fortune in a hotel or a late spin home!

More importantly not ideal having a days less rest.
