The Dutch v Japan has been horrific so far. Snoozefest

Captain Obvious

Haven't bothered to watch any of the World  Cup so far, apparently German TV has the best coverage and support so far.

Main Street

Nakamura !!  the name, the legend  lives on.

Mourne Red

A game of football might have broke out here

Looks like it. The Dutch goal looks to have made Japan actually try a bit

Could have been a Westlife Maria Carey moment
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Quote from: From the Bunker on June 13, 2026, 09:17:21 PMA lot of empty seats at Swiss/Qatari game. Atmosphere dead. You can hear the players shouting instructions to each other. It's like an underage tournament feel.

I live close to the stadium, lots of people trying to sell tickets all week here but still mad prices. Don't have a lot of interest in this game but said I'd check to see if I could get a couple of tickets this morning, $350 and up for them. 💩 game, 💩 stadium for this heat (32C). Glad I didn't go.

The majority of the games in the group stages are poor at best. 48 teams is too much, complete money grabbing exercise.

Did prices come down at all? Was trying to keep an eye on prices but forgot. No way I'm paying $300 a pop to see the likes of Jordon Algeria

Quote from: Puckoon on June 12, 2026, 11:19:13 PMZlatan's greatest moment could be if he f**king roundhouses Alexi Lalas off the top deck of this stadium. Imagine being in the company of Rebecca Lowe, Thierry and then having to deal with Lalas.

He did call James Cordon a f**king w**ker on TV so not all bad!
Close. Full kit w**ker.

Oh yeah that makes more sense  :-*

I was wondering why Rebecca Lowe was taking more offense to the word w**ker, than f**king! :D
