 By all means protest against the government's immigration policy or policies in general as the infrastructure just isn't there to support people from here never mind people coming in, but burning innocents out of their homes and leaving hard working health care staff afraid to go to work is absolutely disgusting. People have protested endlessly against IPAS centres, outside the Dail, outside Leinster House, outside politicians homes, and any number of polls have shown overwhelming opposition to the levels of immigration we now have. Has it made any difference?

As for the 'health system' argument: it's not as if all these staff aren't 'entitled' to bring over any number of family members, further putting strain on the system; it's not as if they're not cheaper options than the home-bred and educated staff; and it's not as if having hospitals jammed with third world workers is an attractive option for Irish medical staff. Small wonder there several thousand of 'em in Oz.
