Bogball thats not nice trying to run down a club that yous have amalgamated with at youth? we know clubs in north tyrone struggling with numbers but with yous winning 4 from 4 at adult level suppose there is a good bounce in the club. wonder what the Cranagh bandit opinions are on this

If that is the case they'd be as well outing the secretary and Brocagh in their unhelpfulness. 2x struggling clubs should be doing their best to see as much football for their teams to get out on the field not ensuring points on the board via walkovers.

Absolutely no wonder that Brocagh are where they are when that's the case.

Summary

The problem: The Tyrone ACL Division 1 league has just started, with 15 fixture dates squeezed between June 5 and August 23. The first seven games come in 29 days, then after a break, eight more in 39 days. Some weekends force clubs to play Friday and Sunday — at one point three games in seven days.

His points:
Club players are an afterthought. The fate of thousands of club players hinges on one squad — the county senior team, and now the U20s as well. County players get proper recovery time; club players don't.

It's an injury machine. Clubs face rising physio bills and a growing list of ACL ruptures, hamstring and quad tears, hip and groin problems. No medical professional would endorse the schedule, and every reader knows a family dealing with the physical and psychological toll of serious injury.

The cause is money. Clubs are being squeezed to accommodate a prolonged inter-county championship he calls a money-making exercise, and it's unfair to expect them to come through it fit for championship in September.

The fix is protest. Clubs should refuse to conform to the schedule. County boards say clubs can be heard through delegates, but few speak up because they feel intimidated by the established order.

The culture problem. He describes a "totalitarian temptation" around the glamorous, media-driven county scene, with individuals and businesses profiting and clubs copying that blueprint at their own communities' expense.

The ask: Clubs should demand county boards put the same energy into solving this as they put into raising money for county teams, restoring respect for the club as the basic unit of the GAA.
