That big black haired lad a skycraper for Derry on kickouts, bigger minor that Dan Higgins was.

Derry doing changes for the sake of doing changes, and they been all over the place last 5 mins! Derry should won that by over 10pts, and that even if Roscommon hit  half of what they missed

I'm assuming talking back. Didn't see anything else.

Disappointing for Meath but really not a shock. We did well to turn the season around after a poor start. Still need to be doing much better at underage though if we're to stay in the top tier for a sustained period.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Cunny Funt

John Prenty and co will need to examine the scheduling of their Connacht championship. May 8th since that final was played while the Ulster final was last Friday. Surely all provincial finals should be on the same weekend?  Derry and Tyrone probably would have won regardless but closer than 6,7 point wins I can imagine.

Cork have impressed me in the few times I've seen them this year their best team at this grade since 2019 and are capable of beating Derry next but Derry do have the physical players to match them around the middle. Tyrone should beat Kildare by 2 or 3 points.

Rossfan

Disappointing end to a promising campaign.
At least we made a match of it in the second half but mullocks of kicks for 2 pointers meant we were never going to catch up.
As well as the *scheduling issue maybe the standard was poor in Connacht this year?
*Ros qualified for the CF late March/early April.
Final 8th May
QF 6th June.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Cork v Derry not set yet.

Tier 2 All-Ireland final Donegal v Louth on this Saturday at 7.30pm in the Athletic Grounds
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

From what I hear 3 lads on the Kildare team are sitting exams that day - what is wrong with playing it on a Saturday or Sunday

Shows CCCC have learnt little from scheduling the U20 All-Ireland semi-finals on a Wednesday night.

Tyrone were supposed to have a full round of club league games on Friday 19th now moved to the Thursday as well, so don't think there would have been massive push from Tyrone to be playing on the Friday. Strange decision

Was accommodating Schooling not one of the primary reasons for the (phoney baloney) changes from U18 to 17 and U21 to 20? Still seems like one of the stupidest and most counter productive things ever introduced by the GAA. And while i'm in the my 2 cents neighbourhood - removing minor championship games from before the Senior game, another mind blowingly bad change. Was there some child protection excuse attached to this IIRC?

And the excuse of player welfare even though back then all U21 and U18 Provincial championships was knock put football instead if round Robin group stages that we have now.
