I demand women be given Katanas

Kirpans. A Katana is a Japanese samurai sword.

Nowak wasn't killed with a Kirpan. Digwa used a normal knife, which was illegal to possess in public.

Sikhs are a weird cult?

There is no exemption on religious grounds. The Kirpan is so small that like a pen knife it isn't illegal to carry.

But thanks for playing.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to allow women to carry pepperspray?

Then let's have that conversation. But let's not base it on the false conspiracy theory that a 'cult' have an exemption to carry weapons

imtommygunn

It is kind of a can of worms that approach though. Good idea in principle but what happens when misuse etc starts. That would mean it won't happen. (The pepper spray thing)

Note, I never claimed he was murdered with the scared and holy Kirpan.

He was charged with carrying a bladed article , the murder weapon that had asian ornamentation and he claimed he carried for religious purposes[with justification].

From court documents.

"You were sober but were carrying a large Sikh dagger in a sheath attached to a belt over the outside of your clothing. It is a strict requirement of the Sikh faith to have a knife, called a kirpan, at all times. Generally, this will be a small knife, hidden from view, often on a length of cord and worn around the neck. You had that but, in addition, the large dagger in a sheath. You are a member of an order of Sikhs called the Nihang who have a tradition of having a second knife, or kirpan and that is often fully visible, believing that the guru will look favourably on that. You observed that tradition in your everyday life, at work and in public.

However, it was not a strict requirement; that is borne out by the fact that neither your brother nor father who arrived on the scene after you had stabbed Henry were so dressed. According to Professor Gurnam Singh, Professor of Sociology and an expert in the field: "Over the last 30 years, there has been a trend towards younger people wearing a kirpan with pride, in a desire to express their cultural identity. They see it as an act of resistance to being denied the ability otherwise to display their identity."

Having a knife for religion is, on some crazy place level, understandable to them..

That's where it ends, using the knife to stab someone five times and kill them is just wrong, evil person, along with his family for covering it up..

What is it Trump says? Its bad people using guns, the gun isn't a bad person, or some shite like that.

So he didn't use the Kirpan. He used an entirely different knife, which is illegal to carry in public. Which is entirely irrelevant to your 'cult' nonsense.

Again, thanks for playing.

British law is quite clear. It is illegal to have on your persona, in public, a blade longer than three inches *but* the police have discretion if there are legitimate reasons to have it. Otherwise how would chefs or butchers get to work? Ceremonial swords like above are passed by this discretion.

Sikhs ceremonial knives are less than 3 inches. And he used an illegal knife.
