Mayo are abit like Tyrone at the moment, inconsistent, Monaghan couldve scored 8 goals on sunday their defence was that wide open..real 50-50 game

Home advantage mightn't be great for tyrone but it certainly takes something away from Mayo if they were at home.  Its loke taking armagh out if the athletic grounds or the dubs out of croke.  Better chance

Aidan OShea ran a lot of the game last year. We were v pedestrian with no edge and a mistake at the end of first half was a killer. Kobe McDonald new this time of year and probably Cormac Quinn to pick him up with his speed and someone else tagging him when out for the kick outs.

Tyrone a v additions as well. It should be a close game

Need to see a performance in this game. Any time MOR Tyrone have taken a step forward then it's 2 steps back. Donegal last year followed by an abysmal performance against Mayo. Armagh have shown that a good enough squad can dominant when paired with an excellent MF strategy.

An excellent midfield strategy ??

Like against Kerry in the quarter final last year !

I could be wrong but I'd say Armagh have better footballers/athletes at this point in time than Tyrone.

I agree Devlin has done an unreal job, however, I still think it's fair enough to question the rationale to not mix up the kick outs when it was abundantly clear we were being utterly wiped out from the 25th min onwards.

was at the Roscommon V Tyrone game last week, thought both he and kilpatrick were excellent.
I know Kennedy went off at the end.
Tyrone IMO are a bit of a dark horse
If they are able to beat Mayo, the then current All Ireland odds of odds of 16/1, look very attractive, especially if they win and avoid Kerry in Q/Final.

I was talking about this year where their kickout strategy has been the best around. It was close to 100% against Monaghan in the 70 minutes. Armagh are fitter than us clearly but I don't see any of their starting 15 apart from Conaty and Dara McMullen who walk on to the Tyrone team and immediately we're a better side. There's an argument that Jarly Og is their best player but when you really dig in to his preformances it's really the teams tactics that create space for him to gallop into and get shots (or fists) away from close to the goals.

You are saying that Armagh only have two lads who would improve the Tyrone team ?

Not sure too many would agree with you there. Ross Mc Quillan, Conor Turbitt, Tomas Mc Cormack (on the basis of his performance last weekend), Jarly og and probably a couple of others would make a difference

Not buying into the armagh hype either.  Only teams they've beat comfortably have been division 3 teams. 
Tyrone n Monaghan are not great shakes n they fell over the line in both.
Plus they dont have Rian O'Neill in their ranks who brought a bit of x factor.
Theyre a well drilled outfit.  Whether or not that's enough to lift Sam remains to be seen but cant see it

Name the couple of others. Ross McQuillan is back to fitness and can't make the Armagh 1st team. I'm not slating the Armagh players, they're a very good squad, but we also have a lot of good players. The difference in quality of the first 15 of both counties is pretty slim. They're just a lot bettered drilled than we are.

Tyrone can surely beat Mayo. Kobe McDonnell had some superb moments in last 2 matches and l would sacrifice Teague to track him. Would also bring in 2 more from u20 squad esp McDermott as a strong last 20min goal scorer.
Hope Kennedyy is OK he is surely vital but injury against Rossies looked like recurrance of old problems. And what about the mystery of the Canavans esp Ruari. Is he still on the panel?
About Armagh it is all strong running and strength which fits 2 point game set up. 4 point goal is so badly needed to rebalance 2pt impacts (how to cause dispair from distance, can really suck the heart out of a team conceding or missing these esp. smallish team like Tyrone?)
Also l would bring Morgan out in 2nd half and bring in O'Kane who is good enough now for a game like this. With McElholm really getting the feel of it against Rossies he should surely blossom against black hearted Mayo.  Hit O'Shea a good belt early and he will creep into his shell (its not baywatch ye know boy!). McDonnell is the big danger,mad like his Da too.
