QuoteThat's Dublin and Kerry looked after as expected.
Tough enoigh one for us but the type of game you need to be winning to be an AI contender.
Wouldn't rule out  Cavan beating Dublin

Dublin won't be winning  no All Ireland anyway , so  I wouldn't worry. Kerry handy draw though as usual

It's funny, for what it's worth it's a kinder draw for Dublin. But they are so bad at the moment I could foresee a Cavan scalp. But even if they don't, we are just waiting for a bigger name to finish us off.

Derry v Meath - Gonna go for Derry here, they have good players but haven't clicked and in wrong positions.
Kildare V Kerry - Kerry to win handy enough
Cavan v Dublin - Dublin to win this one handy enough, they will have seige mentality over managers ban.
Monaghan v Roscommon - Gonna stick my neck out here and go for Monaghan who have been improving game on game.
Donegal v Cork - Donegal to win but this game might be closer than some think.
Galway v Westmeath - Galway to win this one and my tips for the All Ireland.
Tyrone v Mayo - Again, i'm gonna go for the neighbours here and say Tyrone to win this one.
Louth v Armagh - As an Armagh man I'm gonna say Armagh by 4-5pts but where this game is played will have a factor too, Louth are a good side and will not be easy beaten. I'm not 100% sure who haas the say on the venue but it would be class if it was Newry but I doubt that very much, Do you know what grounds are currently closed atm in Louth and neighbouring Counties?. Is Navan closed? Droheda closed?. Is there nothing in Dundalk?

Quote from: tonto1888 on June 02, 2026, 09:13:31 AMwhen will fixture details be confirmed?

Only 5 of the games are to be televised with 2 on RTE and 3 on GAA+ so will be interesting to see what 3 games lose out.

The TV times will be a key factor on the fixture details.
Louth v Armagh, Rossies v Monaghan, Tyrone v Mayo, Derry v Meath would be four most intriguing ties for me, but hard to see Kerry, Galway, Donegal and Dublin not being shown though. Have a feeling Monaghan and Roscommon miss out which has the potential to be the best game of the lot especially with loser going out.
The five chosen should be

Monaghan v Roscommon
Tyrone v Mayo
Donegal v Cork
Derry v Meath
Louth v Armagh

Galway,Kerry and maybe Dublin will be the next round and will get live coverage.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Brennan has been banned for a number of weeks now and there hasn't been much siege about Dublin to date.  They should have enough to get over Cavan but can't see them going past a quarter final.

Dublin seem to go bad game good game bad game good game, so maybe they'll get a kick this time against a poor enough Cavan side.

Got Donegal last time.
The two previous championship draws, they got Tyrone in 2025 semi, and the then reigning All-Ireland Champions Armagh in 2025 1/4s.

Possibly. But even if all the absent players return, I think the damage is done. Not only do I think the side isn't good enough, I think there is a lack of visible hunger amongst the senior players, a lack of mental strength across the team, and without Brennan it looks like there is little strategy.

I'm now scratching my head as to how Louth lost so badly in Portlaoise earlier in the summer. It's as though they stepped off players like Scully and Dublin managed the arc very well.

Shamrock Shore

I think I'll take my 82 year old Cavan friend to the game in Breffni. I would say Longford will be out to pasture by then, so I will be looking around for attractive 'neutral' games.

I think it will be a great game. If Cavan cannot get a rise out of the Dubs coming to town, then they may as well concentrate on hurling or the wimmin.

Quote from: Rossfan on June 02, 2026, 09:44:23 AMIsn't it stated in Rules now that venues have to be approved by CCCC?

Not sure, just remember the shit show in Corrigan last year with the tiny capacity.
The Ulster Championship hadn't any requirement for venues being deemed suitable.
Neither had the AI series before the Newbridge or nowhere saga.
I presume Monaghan will stick with Clones for our game??
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

If you're getting to a  semi final, odds are you'll meet   a top 4 or 5 team

Kerry didn't draw Armagh last year. Kerry were the only  team Armagh COULD get as they'd played  every one else previously

Ideally from an Armagh pov- Galway and Donegal win and go to QF's and one of those draw Kerry. Or do you want to face a Donegal/Galway who have played a (hopefully) tough round 3 game the week before

If Meath put in the same shite performances as we did in our two games so far then we're heading home. Have to find another level of intensity. It's not the league. Need to bring championship levels now. Do or die. If we have a half time lead we need to go even harder in the second half.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

trileacman

A fairly shite draw. Only 3 of those matches will be a contest.
Fantasy Rugby World Cup Champion 2011,
Fantasy 6 Nations Champion 2014

One more round til the blockbuster days out. A few of these games will be great.

Armagh Louth derby could be interesting
