Anyone been to Tarragona near Cambrils? We were in Seville earlier in the year and enjoyed it so the missus wanted somewhere quiet-ish this summer near Barcelona and Cambrils/Salou as livelier options for our older boys. I fear it could be a mistake as have never heard of anyone ever having visited  :-\

We're going to Cambrils Park for two weeks in July, have heard great things for the kids.
It was a mistake though, joining related Facebook groups that seem to be populated by Irish mammies who are there or going. My feed is full of people selling their air fryer or asking if the dodgy jersey shop has the latest Carlow jersey. I am slightly petrified I'll be surrounded by people I know!

Wasn't dying about Salou especially the walk from cambrils park down.  The beach is lovely when you get down to it though.  We preferred the town of Cambrils to Salou

You wouldn't give Salu a look if ya have wee ones with ya, the Amusement park for one's a little older is great, Cambrills is nice and we took the train into Barcelona one day..

But hanging around the site is good enough

Heading there in few weeks? Any advice or recommendations?

Heading to Cambrills myself in a fortnight. Cant wait. Great spot.  Tarragona is good for a day trip. Your have Porta Ventura and ferrari land close also a great day for th kids. Cambrils port is a great spot for a stroll and food . Can cycle there from Cambrills park. Salou close by also.
There is enough in Cambrills park without even needing to leave it. The night time entertainment is a bit cheesy but the kids like it.

The entertainment at MdV was much better than Cambrils.  Disney shows and circus acts which were much better than the usual stuff rolled out.
Water Park is fantastic there as well with massive slides, wave pool etc. Kids have smaller slides and pools as well.
Its also handy to Venice via the boar.  We did Burano and Murano as well.
Areas of MdV are rough n ready but the beach, Venice, pools and entertainment gives it the edge for me over Cambrils.  Cambrils is excellent too though as some with younger kids might prefer that

If you're selling an air fryer when you leave, be sure to let me know

The entertainment my kids had with the rented bikes and chasing frogs around the outside bar was plenty..

French toast in the mornings barbecued food at night glasses of red wine on the van porch watching the kids play!

Happy times

After the first night never had food at the restaurant, it could have improved by now but pasta pizza barbecue was the order of the day!!

Be back there tomorrow!

Cheers Watcher, much appreciated. Have couple of kids love their cycling. Is there options to cycle to towns near the resort, cycle paths etc?

Book direct through the campsite or Eurocamp? Fly into Venice or Verona?

Very tempted to try a camping holiday. Very used to all-inclusive and it's extremely handy.
