Wise up

The ref had absolutely no bearing on that game

Just the few shoves on Monaghan players in the box, the free at the end.

The point by McCaul waved wide.

In real time it looked a clear point to me, and after seeing the replays a couple of times, it looks even more clear to be honest

Youre crying about shoves? What do you think this is, golf?

Jesus if Monaghan hadn't shite luck they'd have none at all. McCaul was lighting things up and that injury is a sickener for the lad. That said, despite plenty to admire in the guts and determination, the Farney left way too many scores behind them there.

OakLeaf

Plenty of excitement in the last quarter. Monaghan may well feel they threw that away with the chances they had.

Main Street

Ridiculous for Monaghan to allow Mayo so many easy 2 point shots in the first half, it's as if there was a 2 point freeway corridor in place for the visitors. That left a bit too much too claw back. And Bomber McCaul's 'point' that was declared wide, surely worth a replay?? :)

It's a certain point for Monaghan.  Ref and his officials truly awful to give a wide.

Good win for Mayo away from home in a tricky fixture with in the main a young squad.
Monaghan in the Ulster Championship proved they were not making up the numbers.
And I expected no less today even when they went well behind.
The Media will stay away from Mayo and the Kobe hype will flatten.
Moran knows where his problems lie - not that he did not know before today.

Congrats to Aido on making his 100th Championship appearance. Some servant!

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Quote from: Rossfan on May 31, 2026, 04:49:24 PMCan non Connacht people ever pronounce the name Beirne properly.
It's NOT Burn!!
Looks like our neighbours will be in 2A.
Monaghan seem to have given up for the year.

How is it pronounced
Rhymes with Sperrin or the last 4 letters of Ahern.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

I'd settle for that.

Seriously that draw should have been done after the match in Clones.

Tongue in cheek remark?

Media aren't ever going to leave Mayos side and without Kobe today it was certain loss including his final catch to secure possession.

Moran had 5 weeks to work on the problems and after he made multiple changes the 2nd half today was no better than it was against Roscommon.

Won because of the ability to score 6 two pointers 1st half and Monaghan so wasteful.  More questions than answers after that win for Mayo while a real missed opportunity for Monaghan and would have got at least extra time had Coldrick and his umpires not wrongly waved the McCaul shot wide.

16k in Croke Park today for Dublin/Louth and Lory Meagher final Longford/Leitrim.

Dublin has truly given up on its football team.

The GAA golden goose has taken flight. 🫣
