Spent 200m though...

So no?

Money well spent or just pissed it all away for nowt?
They finished about where their spend was. Finishing in the European places in your first season up is obviously a result, but this isn't a Brighton or Brentford story about doing so on a shoestring with a strategy. They just bought 16 players.

Forest did the same last year.

Which is where teams coming up (was it last year they all went down) need to do.

If you're not impressed with how Sunderland got on their first year up get into Europe that's fine..

Bournemouth spent 30 mill less

"Are Brighton beginning to reap the rewards of their £200m spending spree? Brighton & Hove Albion behaved abnormally during the 2024 summer transfer window. Their business is usually more measured than a £200million ($268m) splurge on nine new signings.11 Jan 2026"

Bournemouth need some sort of credit for doing what they did considering the players they sold in the summer and with Semenyo going in January.

Same for Brentford who just came up short of a European place after getting rid of their manager and their 2 top goal scorers.

And Bournemouth finished above Sunderland...

My point is that its not Bournemouth's first season, and you knew that's why I'd put up on how well a club has done so well

Be after the assist one you'd have thought

Milltown Row2

The above Villa cup will be the first parade followed by the Assist super cup...

The points swing cup hasn't been mentioned so hopefully that'll be another day out

Sunderland,Brighton,Bournemouth all deserve their credit. Money is only as good as how you use it and bigger clubs than Sunderland has wasted it.

Poor title defence by Liverpool and lucky the overall quality of the Premier League was average that it allowed them to finish 5th.

Chelsea no European football at all next season is very poor. Newcastle getting no criticism at all because they are managed by a media darling Eddie Howe.

What the hell was all  those guard of honours about in the  City Villa match?

Bad enough  the game stopping for the city team to give  their players a guard off the pitch , but Villa  players joining in as  well.

What  the  actual f**k?

Soccer has gone to the dogs. More pantomine than sport now.
