Big congrats to the sheepstealers. Up against the referee too.

Unreal

Have the Rossies ever seemed stronger across the board? Fair play to them.

2012 we previously did the 2 minor in a row plus u21.
Our Seniors were not good that year though.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Another really good advert for Connacht underage football well done Rossies and hard luck to Galway.

On the ref I'll have to look at the record books as he seemed to come up with some new ones of his own.  Be interesting to see how both fare against strong Ulster opposition next

There's a bit of a gap I think. Ulster final not due to be played for another 3 weeks.
Ulster has been very strong in recent years at minor. Hope our lads can regroup for that one.
It's so important to make the Connacht final at this level.

That was a far better Galway performance then the previous weeks, just don't have enough good forwards; Lots of poor misses and plenty of good ball went into them but it didn't stick. I mentioned last week they don't get Healy on the ball enough, he scored a brilliant goal.

Roscommon didn't miss much. Galway will be very disappointed with 2 of the goals they conceded.

As for the ref he gave Galway a free of their last score when it should have been a penalty.

No foul. Galway buck dived.

Clear as day the Galway lad was dispossed cleanly and then dived in an dramatic fashion.

The two point chance he gave to Galway right at the death was equally odd.

It had been a Roscommon free out. The Roscommon player was looking for options. Then passed to a team mate and then the referee penalised the free taker. I'm missing something obviously, but it was just bizarre.

Then the lines man had to correct the Galway positioning of the free kick, which the referee wasn't bothered about.

Good that neutrals saw those strange decisions.
Another earlier one, he decided Carthy had overcarried and then moved it to the arc.
Not the ref's greatest half.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Not the ref's greatest half.
Replay looked like player didn't hand the ball back, he threw it away, may also have been dissent. So may technically have been correct from ref on that one. (Presuming same incident)

Maroon Manc

The free at the end was given to Galway because the player taking the free bounced the ball which a player can't do, so the ref made the correct decision.

In an incident like that you can hop the ball, free was given because the ref thought the Roscommon player delayed too long to take the free it was an error by the ref.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
