Seen refs just throw the ball in before to the one team!

A lot of the matches have been poor enough. Severe lack of quality.

Leitrim and Galway would put you to sleep. Only good thing is the weather.

Galway black Conor Flaherty as he gave away a penalty and scored after the rebound.  Leitrim 1-6 Galway 0-12
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Not sure what the goalkeeper can do there when the player jus ran straight at him.

Serious amount of niggle in this. And ref is making it look worse than it is.

Leitrim: 2-8 Galway 1-17.  Comer just on sets up a goal. Gleeson with a poor kick out gifts a goal to Leitrim.

64 minutes on the clock Leitrim 2-12 Galway 1-18

FT Leitrim 2-12 Galway 1-20

Don't suppose anyone could lend us a keeper. Pretty please.
Ten points up in total control and two shite short kickouts give Leitrim 1-2.
There's always a disastrous mistake in the locker at any moment with Gleeson.
I'm not convinced Flaherty is an upgrade.
Has a better mid range kick probably but not as much distance and his short ones go astray as much as Gleesons do

Thought that a few years ago and always expected a new keeper to appear but they stick with this guy.  Maybe the best of a bad bunch

Keepers, especially nowadays have mistakes in them.

I think too much pressure on them to land a ball exactly in a lad's hand.

What about the 'win your own ball' basics out the field? Too much emphsis on the keeper.

Maybe there's nobody out there better I dunno. This goalkeeping problem and the lack of anybody who can kick a long range free or 45 off the deck are issues that have been there since Pj took over and they haven't been addressed. This is his 7th season in charge ffs.
Walsh in '22 is the only time we had any type of free taking consistency off the ground.
He's had quad problems in the meantime so hasn't been taking them as often and when he has he's been missing them.
They'd be as well to carry a lad who otherwise wouldn't make the team for two point frees alone.
Barry McHugh for example - lacks the pace and athleticism for that level & wouldn't be near the team if he wasn't a free taker but if all he did was nail dead balls he'd be worth his spot. The two point rule makes it worth carrying someone with his level of Dead ball accuracy. It won't happen now though

Absolutely. But if you're continually f**king up attempting short ones then don't do them. Stick to long ones. Especially when you're ten points up!
It's cost us games we looked in control of too many times now. No lessons being learned

Absolutely if in doubt hoof it out lol. Once it goes long it's on the outfield players.

Very poor performance from Galway today. Whoever wins on Sunday will be favourites for the Connacht title despite Galway going for 5 in a row or whatever. They just didn't seem up for the game at all. If Barry McNulty had his shooting boots on, Leitrim could have won that game. Goalkeeper issue hangs over this Galway side like a black veil.  You can't be coughing up scores due to your own awful kick outs.

Not unusual to struggle in the first game out. Galway could easily have lost to Sligo 2 years ago and they ended up in the AI final. They need something similar to compete the next day out. Best you can say is that Joyce said he has a stick to beat them with now for the next 2 weeks. It'll be badly needed.
