Quote from: Armagh18 on April 20, 2026, 07:55:58 PMWe're going well on the owl United Ireland front lads if we're down to the nitty gritty of a fry!

Wouldn't be my first item but what's wrong with beans?

Beans in the morning! They ain't morning food for starters, be farting and for the older ones shatting yourself by lunch time!

Tattie bread I can have but gotta be done right, partial to a fried pancake instead. I've Americanised that
Oh a great shout!

Mad Mentor

If I'm ordering a fry anywhere I always have to ask does it include beans after I once got served a fry swimming in the little orange b***ards.

AustinPowers

Trust the Yanks and their  pancakes to get involved. Always sticking their nose in

Remember getting a  fry and  a pancake amidst it all.  Felt like chucking it  like a frisbee  at the waitress.

Does nobody have fried  sliced bread anymore? Always thought that disgusting

trueblue1234

Pancakes are for breakfast dessert. Along with the plate of 4 pastries,a croissant and a mini muffin. Should not be included in the fry course.
Juice for during the fry and then cup of tea for the sweet stuff.
Grammar: the difference between knowing your shit

Milltown Row2

So my sometimes 'fry' will be fried sourdough bread slice, pancake fried, fried egg (soft yoke) 2 sausages

Not a bacon guy, never was, best hotel fry, Galgorm
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

It will get done but when is the question...I was trying to go over this with a few work colleagues who we'd class as kicking with the other foot, when I put it to them that it's only their grandfathers time when Ireland was all one (2 generations ago) it really is not that long ago but as we have grown up with it it's like that's how it has always been...They're shocked tbf

RTE in true RTE fashion managed to bury that stat in their article too.

Perhaps. But there is a need for some methodological investigation into a poll that shows a higher proportion in favour of a UI in the 6 counties than in the 26 counties.

Shocked that it's only been 2 or 3 generations since partition? Did they think NI has existed for hundreds of years?

Well.....there's those in the DUP who would argue that the earth is only around 6,000 years old, so presumably it's also plausible to believe that Ulster might have been around since at least 1690.

I always us the phrase 'a re-united Ireland' when talking about 'a united Ireland'.

It's a nicer, but more honest phrase.

European Movement poll

There is no way that 63% of the people in Northern Ireland want a united Ireland

I think it's to do with the EU context.
