Quote from: Puckoon on April 03, 2026, 01:10:10 PMPearl Jam debuting with Ten and following it up with Vs, then following that up with Vitalogy won't ever be beaten.

Just to show I am not biased however - Fratelli's Costello Music is also up there.

Ten is a great shout

Air - Moon Safari

I googled it there just to make sure it was a debut, Google reckons so but I'm not so sure as once I bought this masterpiece of an album I went down an Air rabbit hole and bought loads of their more mediocre offerings, EPs maybe but I've a right cache of stuff.

Would agree here. All top songs

Flickin through the auld CD case here (moving to America 24 years ago was panic stations about what will I do with all my CDs).

Is this It  - The Strokes. Bequeathed to me by a fella named DeFaoite from Leitrim July 2002. Some debut
Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morrissette.

Alanis had  two albums before JLP, released only in Canada

She started off  more pop, and it  was awful

For all intents and purpoises JLP always been considered her debut album. Robin Sparkles.

Kasabian - Kasabian
Arcade Fire - Funeral

Couldn't agree with The Killers more, first album I ever bought as well. Not a bad song on it

The Stone Roses.  Legendary.  Good thread.

#24
Stone Roses, Funeral and Moon Safari already mentioned and up there for me.

LCD Soundsystem self titled
Daft punk - Homework
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing
Eric B & Rakim - Paid in Full
The Smiths self titled
Nas - Illmatic
Kanye West - College Dropout
Gorillaz self titled
Raekwon - Only 4 Cuban Linx (Enter the Wu Tang not too shabby for that matter)
Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation Of...

Bit of a cheat as both obviously well established but Raising Sand by the duet of Robert Plant & Alison Kraus probably better than the lot of them put together.

STREET FIGHTER

Stereophonics- Word gets around

Great album
