looks like AJ was in a really bad accident

2 dead he has minor injuries

Looks like the driver was being a complete tool throw in the probability that they didn't have seat belts on gave them no chance. Amazing that AJ walks away practically untouched

Conlan beaten again. SD this time. Poor decision, worse fight.

JoG2

Surprised it was even a split decision tbh...Conlon played it too safe in the end (hindsight). Very boring fight

Not surprised at that. How many shots did he land in 10 rounds? Mental craic

Conlan unfortunately has never been the same since the Leigh Wood fight. A real sliding doors fight for his career. He should have hung them up when Jordan Gill beat him easily a few years ago.

Never really been top drawer stuff.

He'll slip off now..

Big Rogie had a better limelight

He'd hardly set the world alight before the Wood fight either. Just didn't have it unfortunately.

With the regret of not taking the fight to Walsh more, he'll take the rematch and not end it like that?

He hasn't really had any great wins as a pro, and it was crazy that there was talk of a title fight if he won tonight, when he has been fighting nobodies since his return. In saying that, he clearly won that fight tonight.

Didn't do enough imo. Commentators talking him up but highlights between rounds were him dodging the other lads punches. Judges like aggression.

Thats him done anyway. Brilliant amateur but just didnt have the power for the pros. Some great memories made though.

Conlon had a great career in boxing. A career many would dream of. Just didn't seem to suit the pro game though. Hope he made enough to make himself as comfortable as possible. Good to see him retire even though he should have let it go a few years ago. That's a long time to be getting punched for a living.

Whatever happened with him and the family? Seems to have been a fall out. Was surprised when he wasn't at the brothers wedding.

The only boxers that make serious dough are Heavyweights

He'll have to find work tomorrow unfortunately

I mean that he has made enough money to at least have the mortgage cleared and a holiday! There'll be no one at that level getting multi million pay days. Tough aul game.

The amateurs at his level are better off financially than most pros after they have had the government grants from both sides of the border.
