Disappointing from Derry. Didn't seem up for the game at all.

Deserved win for Derry there overall, despite not being great they broke the back of a gamey enough Cavan challenge (in the context of how we've played in prior games) with a necklace of scores without reply in the third quarter. Cavan clung to life with a few two-pointers but any chance at a result was gone when McKiernan of all people butchered a great opening and possible goal chance with a few minutes to go. Thought we'd see more of him, Paddy Lynch and McVeety for two-pointers in the second half. Not bad from us overall I suppose, I thought we'd get hammered.

Cork finally make their return to Division 1, heavy defeat to Derry was all for nothing in the end.

They were never as bad as this 15 years ago !

Derry were very poor. Done enough, but Cavan had chances. Ciaran Brady with a good goal chances, Oisin Brady was Cavans best player in the league.  He would get on most teams.

I think Wexford don't get into All Ireland as Kildare are in it due to winning the Tailtean last year
