Yep. Need someone in before the galatasaray game to at least give it a lash in Europe.

Obviously not going to happen.

Hopefully it won't be like Rogers. They gave him the summer and the first ten games of the following season, but there's no Jurgen Klopp waiting on ice to come in and take over.

I'm honestly half hoping they don't make top five as the football has been fairly dire since this time last year.

They need a fresh start.

Klopp himself is available.
Martin O'Neill has pushed the age boundaries for managers across Europe. It's no surprise that Harry Redknapp is ready to go back to Spurs as confirmed at Cheltenham this week.

Klopp burned himself out. If he hadn't, he'd currently be in the final months of the contract he walked away from. He's not coming back. His next job will be Germany.

That result has probably been the final straw for any supporters who were on the fence.  There's a lack of organisation and intensity across all areas of the pitch. There are no signs that under the current set up anything will improve significantly next season.   Been heavily reliant on set piece goals for a good while now and much from open play (like the rest of the premier league i suppose).

That's just, like your opinion man.

I'm generally quite sensible and non reactive about stuff but it has gone too far. No direction,  too many excuses and what could have been a good year has been filled with underachieving. I think now is the time for either a permanent change or at least an interim one for the boost. If possible I would be looking at a short term set up to steady the show and get Alonso agreed for next season. There is still an FA cup and CL to compete for and next years CL to qualify for. I suspect none of these are achievable under Slot. Has gone too far the other way. You would hope there would be a 'bounce' from a change of manager which may push on for last 2 months of the season. Plenty of quality to work with

Debatable.
Nordie Tayto is shite

I like a good piss take, but what are the senior players doing? Or can they have that influence to say to Slot 'this isn't working'?

The team has quality players all over the pitch and on the bench

I thought when he was asked about the kid Rio playing his first game for the seniors that he said something along the lines of, we are at home playing Spurs and this is the best game to bring him on? or words to that effect. Maybe disrespecting Spurs, who have been poor but need points for survival, I suppose with the return game in the CL he was being cautious?

What personnel needs changing and players to be brought in? Is Alonso interested?

I would like him to finish out the season and have someone agreed to take over then. He deserves the chance to finish the season as best he can. We should get top 5 but that might be more down to Chelsea and villa's form rather than us earning it. Away to city in the cup so that's probably a done deal and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if we go out to Gala tomorrow with an injury time goal, either tha or get dicked by PSG in the next...but he did win us 20 last year so imo he deserves the chance to finish out

Armamike

Can't see him being replaced at this stage of the season.  He will only be replaced if and when there is somebody strong ready to come in.  If Alonso was free from next week, perhaps but doubt FSG would act.

What isn't working though?

For me he hasn't changed a whole pile formation wise, and to some point his hand has been forced due to injuries, especially in the right back position.

The biggest issue is the lack of energy and drop off on form from a lot of the so called leaders on the team.

MacAllister, Gravenberch, Gakpo, Salah, Allison,  Van Dyke and an erratic Konate are so far down from last years level they're unrecognisable as a team that won the PL less than 10 months ago.

That drop of in performance for so many players at the one time lies with the manager imo. Klopp was fantastic at getting the best out of his players. One of the best around at it. He took good players and made them great. And that's a hard act to follow.
Slot deserves to see out the season imo. Last year bought him that. But I just don't see him turning it around. Sod's Law is that if this year had happened last year, I think he would have been given the benefit of the doubt that in his first year there might be a drop off from Klopp. And still would have gotten another year. But it's the players body language that nails it for me. And while I think the players have to bare some responsibility, it's too many of them to not have an issue at the top.

They're not winning either cup.

And if they limp into a CL spot, it will down to the poor form of others.

There's no evidence whatsoever to suggest Liverpool could go on a winning streak. Especially with United, Villa, Brighton and Everton still to come away, along with Chelsea, Fulham, Brentford and Palace at home in their remaining fixtures.

They couldn't even beat a hapless, injury-decimated Spurs, a team in their knees. Bournemouth hadn't won a game in weeks when they played Liverpool in January.

Season's done barring some extremely improbable turnaround in form and tactics.

Ten points maximum still to come. They won't even crack 60 points.

It's clear that people are fed up with Slotball, whatever it is. Arne Slot likes to use words such as "creative" but his team never creates anything. They pass the ball endlessly in the same predictable patterns, always making it very obvious what they want to do next. No wonder there always seems to be a defender in the way.
Liverpool have now conceded eight goals in injury time, their most in a single Premier League season even though they're not quite 80 per cent of the way through this one. The previous record of seven was set in 2010-'11, when Roy Hodgson was sacked as manager midway through and the club nearly went bankrupt.
