I loved it, very funny and interesting even though it's loosely based on the true story.

Quote from: tiempo on March 06, 2026, 11:24:40 AMWatched The Prestige as was near top of imdb rated films, nearly a good show, half reasonable bit of distraction more than anything, a few titties would of emproved her, bring back the 80s

I remember watching this on sky when it came out in 2006 or 2007. Don't know how, but I ended up accidentally going to the plus 1 channel and was watching away for a good while and tge film ended. As it was jumping back and forward in time I didn't catch on. Had to go and watch the first half then. Disaster!

I'd say the high channel numbers were getting hit on Sky that same night.

Watched 'Is this thing on', generally a well reviewed film and I love Will Arnett but I thought it was shite, Laura Dern particularly woeful. Zero chemistry  between them.

The 9 was wore off on that remote.

Totally agree. I went to Waterworld in Portrush, it was much worse.

Loved it. Although it brought back bad memories of picking blackberries in Armagh in 1986.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Platoon starting now on BBC2. What a show.

Quote from: screenexile on February 06, 2026, 10:35:20 PMFinished Hamnet there. Very artsy kind of film which wouldn't usually be my cup of tea but it's very good.

As has been said the acting is phenomenal but there's just something powerful about it. It'll be hit or miss for a few here but I really enjoyed it and can see why Buckley is favourite for the Oscar she deserves it!

Just watched it this weekend. Loved it.

Buckley and Mescal were amazing, but the overall film was very moving. Especially if you're a parent.

Been some good films this year after years of shite.

Recently enjoyed Song Sung Blue as well, to follow on from Sinners, One Battle After Another and Begonia.

The TV show was a hard enough watch.

Started all killer no filler, ended all filler no killer

Watched the whole of the Peaky Blinders series apart from the last 15mins, for the last half dozen episodes I was screaming get on with it, in the end I couldn't bear it any longer, shame it ended so tedious
