Feeling that way alright.

Fairly confident we'll beat the Dubs but knowing our luck they'll get another win and send us down.

FT Roscommon 2-7 Dublin 1-21. All too easy for Dublin, the rossies produce their worse performance of this league campaign.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

They'll probably beat us - they usually do!

Quote from: J70 on March 01, 2026, 03:02:40 PMGreat effort from the Donegal lads to get a draw out of that. Looked down and out playing a man down from the 30th minute, but kept at it and whittled away the Galway lead. Galway should have won it, missing a few good goal openings (great work again from Mulreany and McCole), and it was their own mistake in possession, playing a sloppy ball back into their own half to a marked player, that sparked the comeback.

Lovely two pointer from Mogan to salvage the draw. Murphy was superb after he came on.

Idiocy from Langan and McMenamin to put us down to 14 though.
Have ye many first choice lads to come back?
Travelling today and could not get stream to work so haven't seen the game.
We probably have four or five starters in Walsh, McDaid, Thompson and O'Laoi (think he'll start wing back) and possibly Fitzgerald.
Comer seems unlikely to be back.
That's about it

Same old story with Armagh , lose the game in first half and a gallant but ultimately unsuccessful comeback in the second half. Put Rafferty on with 2 mins to go when needed scores . I wish these lads got paid so I could say Turbitt is currently stealing a living

Engaging the brain before typing is overrated imo

thebigfullforward

Just finished watching Dublin Roscommon there. First 20 minutes from Roscommon the worst a team has looked under the new rules so far I think. Went to a minor game instead and at least the young lads had a go at it

Kerry v Donegal final. Even Pat Pillane mentioned Hmaes McGuinness 4 times in SW colum this morning.  Donegal is in his head .

What exactly has luck had to do with their current plight?

Most of our lads have been playing at some point, although today the team wasn't as strong, especially in the first half, and especially up front. Today's starting lineup was missing Murphy, Gallen, O'Baoill, Mogan, Roarty, Patton, Shane O'Donnell and Thompson from the 15 that started the final against Kerry last summer, as well as first choice subs like McBrearty and Niall O'Donnell (both retired or opted out). Murphy, Roarty and Mogan came on at half time today. Patton and Thompson have been out injured for all of the league, O'Baoill the past few games.

Looks that way. Defensive issues are clear to see throughout this league campaign, same at the other end of field not clinical enough.  Dublin winning today no way helpful.

First 20 minutes Roscommon had about 12 shots and it included probably one of the worst misses for a goal chance I've seen this year.  Dublin from nearly every miss broke on the counter for easy scores and ended the game as a contest before half time.

Armagh should be looking to stay up from here. Win in croker vs a no great shakes Dublin and then a big home performance vs a half motivated Kerry on the last day. Would leave them on 6. Galway will beat monaghan to get to 6. Dublin if they need it will beat Galway on last day in Salthill to get to 6. Ros will lose to Donegal at home and Mayo away most likely to also finish on 6 but will go back down with Monaghan on scoring difference.

Cunny Funt

Apart from Monaghan heading back to Division 2 it makes for interesting last two rounds at the top and bottom.

Kerry v Mayo in Tralee in two weeks is probably a decider to see who faces Donegal in the league final.

Armagh with one win in 5 now need to win two games in a row to stay up but will be hoping Mayo can at least draw with Kerry to make the round 7 game a dead rubber for Kerry.
