Cork footballers fly out to Portugal next Tuesday for four-day training camp.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Ah well, that's their good run ended. Doomed to 18 months without a win if turns out like Derry's trip!!

Quote from: thejuice on February 23, 2026, 07:36:05 AMWasn't a red card for Ian Maguire. Not even a yellow. They just tangled a bit. Black card for O'Neill for stopping his run perhaps.

Jack O'Connors point was clearly outside the arc so balances it out. However Meath were only a kick of a ball away from more last minute heroics but ultimately didn't deserve it.

His standing foot was outside, I'd say contact between the ball and his kicking foot was inside - what does the rulebook say?

Standing foot on or behind the line

Need to bounce back after last week's lacklustre performance. Away to Kildare never easy. Kildare always play their best game against us. So hopefully a few injuries have cleared up.

Beirne is back anyway after suspension, but not sure re Feely. He went over to the sideline in the Derry match to tell them about his hamstring, but he didn't do the classic pull on the run. I'd hope he is right after missing Offaly.

The pitch is in bits to be honest, so it's hard to know how much of an issue it will be.

But as always with Kildare we never dictate the rules of engagement, so it depend on how Meath play. To be honest the older heads are the ones most guilty of silly mistakes.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Captain Scarlet

Strongest bench all year for Kildare. So a lot more options.

It gives me a bit more hope, but only a bit...

Cavan v Louth...Cavan by the minimum in this relegation 4-pointer, but I say that in hope more than expectation. Louth bound to be riding high after beating Tyrone and on that basis are in better form.

Tyrone v Offaly...A nice convalescent encounter for Tyrone who will win handsomely here.

Kildare v Meath...Another blockbuster with both sides going all out in a local derby. I'll call it a draw because I always do that with at least one prediction, and like a broken clock I'm going to be right eventually.

Derry v Cork...Cork by a hair. They seem to have knuckled down properly after years of wishy-washy meandering, and have plenty of big men for a dogfight, with a sprinkling of skill.

twohands!!!

Louth started all guns blazing and Cavan probaly fortunate to only be 7 points down after 15 minutes down.
Cavan 0-2 Louth 0-9

Cavan struggling to get on any ball and get in the game.

Louth playing some great stuff. Fast direct attacking football.

Doesn't look like much if any of a breeze.

Whos the lad on here thought Sam Mulroy wasnt a top forward?

Blowitupref

#523
Some good passes on that Louth goal and Mulroy follows up with a two-pointer from play, 1-14 to 0-4 they lead

Half time Cavan 0-6 Louth 1-16

Can Cavan not do the basics here and mark their men tight.
