Limerick and Laois got 13 points each Meath with 19 are in the bottom half of the scorers last week. Hopefully it was conditions that kept the score down and our forward line can step up.

Is Murray very injury prone?

I think U20 hould stay with U20's and train with them etc. until they're knocked out.

Great to get the win tonight but could have been easier if Derry had not been so wasteful up front. Going for goal when an easy point was on offer. All the usual suspects played well apart from Mcguigan. He has not performed for the last year and a half. We don't seem to have anyone who can kick a 2 pointer (apart from Rogers) or even a 45.

f**k the negativity Shane still kept trying to the last!

Yeah we fell over the line but not winning for a year was always going to contribute to that. In truth we were dominant throughout with all our big players doing well Clucky CG, Paudie, CD, McKinless, Rogers, Ethan and Murray when he got the ball. I couldn't fault any man really.

Darragh Canavan will be waking up in a cold sweat thinking about McKinless the next time they draw us!!

OakLeaf

McKinless was the best player on the field tonight. Our first win was always going to be a tense affair. Hopefully that builds a bit of confidence and we can stop the panicky stuff. Shane will get there eventually.

I thought so. Mcelholm didn't try to take him on. Mckernan a fine player but McKinless can hold the centre and Marshall things

I thought McKinless marked McElholm and Clucky marked Canavan.

Clucky is a quality defender, very few if any come out on top against him

Paudi, CD, Ethan absolutely superb. Midfield cleaned Tyrone out with lads throwing themselves into everything. Correct decision not to start Toner who when he came on made a massive impact.

They lived off frees some soft enough ones, and we switched off for the goal. We were 8 points the better team.
Mc Kinless is everything you want in your centre half back plays right on the limit.

More direct tonight in taking on men and foot passing. Good game. Well done everyone.

Special praise for Na Gaeil who protested before the game and at half time on behalf of Palestine

Half back line put in one those old performances from Derry a couple of years ago, McKinless did a fantastic job on McElholm and Paudie is just another workhorse who puts alot of fires out. Credit to Shea McGuckin too he hit CD with a couple of pin point kicks.

I hadn't a great seat but I thought they were a bit goal hungry, I think Shane will find the form come spring, him and Rogers have no doubt played the least amount of football of anyone lately.

Sorry meant McElholm

Great result, should have been more but something to build on. CD & McKinless stand outs tonight, Rogers & Glass looked back to their level and Lachlan Murray showing if he stays fit he's up there with the best in Ulster

That was a much improved performance from Derry compared to the Meath game.
Real fight and drive from the lads tonight. Plenty of mistakes and if we'd taken half the scores on offer we'd have been 10point winners.
Felt like we were by far the better side, but we are just lacking confidence I think in the forward line.
Murray was outstanding - didn't see what the black card was for, but in general the ref I felt was very sore on us.
He gave Tyrone a 2 pointer in the 2nd have that looked inside the arc to me and the umpire initially signalled 1pt.

McKinless, Clucky, McGrogan, CD, Glass and Rogers particularly good. Paul Cassidy needs to step up a bit I feel though and Shane is playing like he is low in confidence. He should have shot for goal himself rather than tee up glass that time in the first half, looked like he didnt want to attempt the longer range frees too, but he did keep plugging away and still scored 4 so I've no doubt he'll come good.

Forbes put in a good shift too and Mcguckin did rightly in goals but his free taking was wayward.

All in all, a good shift with much more intensity and a lot less mistakes. Class to get the win over the red-arses who now must be nervous about the wrong end of the table.
They've still to play some really tough games. Meath I feel still look like they could top the group.
Cork will be no walkover.
Kildare next day for Derry will be a huge game - but if we can push on in our forward play and start taking the points when they are on, I think we've a very good chance of getting 2 wins on the bounce.

I would echo all of the above , as well as most of the established players really stepping up to the mark , it was really good to see  Rurai Forbes put in another solid performance,
