Yup knew last year Meath wont be a flash in the pan. They have the men to take adv of the rules.

I do have a bit of faith Tyrone will try and be more adventurous this year.

Letting a few lads try and work a two point shot is bound to save energy, would be interesting to see the stat/risk profile numbers of it all.

Havent watched the game back, but i thought Derry were poor on the kickouts, maybe we picked up more breaks.

I still think thats the case, their 2 pointers are top drawer and they have the physicality to compete with anyone. I like their direct style of play.

better team today and the fluke goal made it closer than it actually was.

Tyrone are not as good as people were giving them credit and koldare are better than they were getting credit for.

div2 is wide open, for me Meath are the most likely to top the group, after that its a lottery.
Kildare deserve serious credit they stuck to their task throughout and we were lucky to get a point at the end positives are O'Neill Jordan Bogue Joey Clarke and Donaghy had never played for Tyrone Seniors outside the McKenna cup before. I could be wrong but Kildare weren't of their best 15 nor were Derry or Meath. We will struggle against Derry next week. The positive is we will find more players capable of doing a job but promotion is far from certain.

Quote from: thejuice on January 24, 2026, 10:49:01 PMJust watched back there now. Poor for the opening 27 minutes really. Didn't really dominate the game at any stage in the second half, just got scores at key moments but we gave the ball away far too often.

Outside of Flynns kicks off the ground, which were great, he was as guilty as anyone for giving away possession.

Weather didn't help but we were still second best to a lot of loose ball I thought.

Costello did very little from play. Needs to improve.

Defensively did well in keeping Derry out but guilty of getting caught in possession more than you would like at that end of the field.

Second best in midfield on kick outs as well. McBride did well, seems to have bulked up a fair bit too. Conlon did well too when he came on.

Overall good that we got the scores when we did but not an all conquering performance by any means. But they have time to tighten up a bit. Getting another 2 points in Cavan will be a big boost.
Link to where I can watch it back ?

Looking at the match stats was 40 kick outs and Derry won 21 and lost 19.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
