Kildare 1-19 Tyrone 2-16. Good result for Kildare when you consider they played with 14 men from the 44th minute.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Armagh18

Good result for Kildare, looks like a real minefield of a division!

Kildare were impressive. Tyrone were terrible bar 10/15 minutes at the start of the 2nd half.

Quarterbackk

The Derry men couldn't wait to get Tally out and go back to the handpassing ways of the Gallagher Era. The game has moved on Kicking and good forwards is wins games. Derry lack both.

Rossfan

The 2 promotion places not so certain now!
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Leinster will be an interesting championship with Louth, Kildare, Meath & Dublin all thinking they can win

I was not expecting that and even less so when we went a man down. Morgan was fairly erratic to say the least, but Kildare's big men in the middle stood up.

For all the edge of the seat fun that McElhone and Canavan bring they do lack an edge sometimes. Really happy to come away with a point and Tyrone will be getting stronger week on week so they will take points of others.

Kildare v Offaly will be a good local derby and hopefully we can build on it. Hard to know how many points would be needed to stay up.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Getting rid of Harte after one year was the first error Derry made the 2nd was appointing a coach in Tally as his replacement.

Didn't see the game but happy for Kildare. Wide open division.

First thing Malachy needs to do is tell Morgan to stay in his square and focus on being a keeper. That ball he gave away in 2nd half was criminal, he had Daly in 30 yards of space right beside him and decided to go for ego instead of simplicity and fucked it up.

The new rules negate any benefit of fly keepers and he needs to wind the neck in and stay in his own house.

Said it a while back on here somewhere that I thought Meath could have a good year.
I still think thats the case, their 2 pointers are top drawer and they have the physicality to compete with anyone. I like their direct style of play.

better team today and the fluke goal made it closer than it actually was.

Tyrone are not as good as people were giving them credit and koldare are better than they were getting credit for.

div2 is wide open, for me Meath are the most likely to top the group, after that its a lottery.

Tyrone were very rusty today, but to put it into context we only had 4 starters on today's team that lined out v Kerry in the AI semi last year. Meath looked good today but if they only had 4 men from their semi v Donegal out today they would have struggled big time.

Tyrone will improve over the coming weeks with more game time for our u20s recently integrated and experienced men coming back into the fold.

Just watched back there now. Poor for the opening 27 minutes really. Didn't really dominate the game at any stage in the second half, just got scores at key moments but we gave the ball away far too often.

Outside of Flynns kicks off the ground, which were great, he was as guilty as anyone for giving away possession.

Weather didn't help but we were still second best to a lot of loose ball I thought.

Costello did very little from play. Needs to improve.

Defensively did well in keeping Derry out but guilty of getting caught in possession more than you would like at that end of the field.

Second best in midfield on kick outs as well. McBride did well, seems to have bulked up a fair bit too. Conlon did well too when he came on.

Overall good that we got the scores when we did but not an all conquering performance by any means. But they have time to tighten up a bit. Getting another 2 points in Cavan will be a big boost.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016
