Right,  that's enough of S&G

Let's see who's next....

Oh Christ... It's Neil Diamond!!!!

I'll see you  all in a week or two .

The man. The legend.

It does befuddle me that a man who initially gained fame as a songwriter has penned some of the laziest lyrics of all tim, even in his best songs.

"And no one heard at all, not even the chair"

"Honey's sweet, but it ain't nothing next to baby's treat"

But he did write some bangers, so I guess that makes him the Noel Gallagher of his day. Maybe even wrote enough good stuff to forgive him for inflicting Sweet Caroline on the world.

1. Forever in Blue Jeans
2. I Am I Said
3. Holly Holy

Can't explain why I like any of these songs so much, but they never leave my playlist.

Tony Baloney

Come on, altogether now..."Sweeeet Caroline..."

Captain Obvious

Long before time on this thread, the legend that is Neil Diamond should be one of the first artists listed.

My three

Cracklin' Rosie
America
Sweet Caroline

BigGreenField

A bona fide legend built on pure 200%confidence and self belief, the story of what he said to Dylan when coming off stage at the Bands Last Waltz may or may not be true but fits the mould of a man high on his own supply.

I've  seen him live a bunch of times and it's an unbelievable experience, haven't seen the Hugh Jackman film yet but looking forward to it.

I Am I Said
Solitary Man
America

The duet with Streisand on You Don't Bring me flowers is top notch, His 2005 album includes this banger with Brian Wilson of all people nailing the backing vocals

Any man tired of Neil Diamond is tired of life.
