Strange one this. 19 suspensions seems abit excessive- obviously no one deserves to feel intimidated at work but if you're going to work in a school with teenagers you can't afford to be too precious. Hard to comment on it without knowing the full detail

Here's a parent who doesn't understand how teenage boys act the bollox when in their own peer groups.

""I am disgusted to hear her terminology such as "masculine toxicity" with my son's name beside it. Anyone who knows my son, knows he is the most lovable, kind natured, humble young person with the utmost respect to all. Some of these boys have never even had a detention.""

When you put that in a statement....

Feckin parents need bate with a hurl...
See he probably is a wee angel the majority of the time, but when teenagers get into a group they can collectively become little twats.

Why? What difference does it make to you? I don't understand the reason someone would choose pronouns for themselves but who am I to say they shouldn't just because I am content with how I'm addressed? And if using a different word makes life easier for them and makes sh1te all difference to me, why would I choose to not do that?

We all call people things they want us to call them.

Every single one of us knows a Paddy, Marty, Jim, Des and so on.

When did Ms instead of Miss or Mrs start?

When you are talking about them, say them, not he or she.

It takes more effort to be outraged.
Do you say them is a gobshite or them are a gobshite?

You know you're dealing with a headcase when he tries gatecrash a Free P service attended by the DUP  ;D

Miss is a young girl, Ms a single adult lady, Mrs a married lady. Learned that in English Language in school to address letters.

Every day is a school day. Always thought Ms was when you didn't know if they were married or not.

Always thought Ms was when you weren't sure of marital status? Anyway, I'd be happy enough calling them whatever they prefer. Ain't going to change anything for me regardless of what I think bout it.
Grammar: the difference between knowing your shit

Keyser soze

Yeah Ms is when a woman [or they ;D ] doesn't wish to disclose their marital status.

Mr doesn't denote marital status for a man whereas Miss and Mrs does denote it for a woman, so basically it's an equality thing.

Where do you stand  on the wife not taking the husbands  surname?

Or  the husband taking the wife's surname?

Would ye whist

Takes a brave {insert other appropriate words} to take the wife's name

My wife kept her name for work as she had built her reputation/work following with her maiden name but has her married name on all official docs etc

Covers both, but considering it's near 40 years ago when I was taught that it would be safe to assume some societal norm changes in between ;D

If the wife's name is sexier then yeah  ;D

A lot of double barrel names now, but who gets their name first wins ;)
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

See that's another issue. Who  goes first in a double barrrelled name?

Could be used in that context too I think
