The reason is that Irish Child producers are in Australia, Canada or where ever. They left or were told go by our Government from 2009. There was/is no incentives put in place to coax them back.

Maybe  newer couples couldn't get near the  other with lockdowns . And  living together couples were sick looking at each  other . Both leading to less  babies

I think Ireland traditionally for work life improvements have always moved away to better themselves, Celtic tiger came and less people I'd say left. Celtic tiger died and they've started travelling/immigrating .  The world is smaller and people will travel. Some will stay and many will come back, a nation of immigrants and migrates complaining and immigrants lol
