Too many players with potential and not enough leadership around them.

Looking at that team today-

Lammens- potential
Dalot- waste of a pair of socks
Yoro- potential
Martinez- good player- would he be better in midfielder?
Dorgu- potenial
Ugarate- same as Dalot
Mainoo- potential
Bruno- good player obviously
Mount- when hes good he's good but need more from him and also always injured
Cunha- good player but just not getting enough output
Sesko- potential

Top that off with a totally inexperienced manager who's basically there as a yes man for the board and you're going to struggle. I can see big protests in the coming weeks.

On a positive note, Lacey definitely looks like a player. Good to see a bit of passion from him as well.

111 years.

Beaten by a team that didn't even have to play well to win and knock out United out of the cup in Old Trafford. Two shots on target enough for them to win and score two goals.

United can't even get new manager bounces anymore and the next permanent United manager to will have some task to try and fix a broken club on and off the field.

Seen on another forum it was in 1914/15 since they've had a shorter 38 game league and one fa cup game (no league cup then)

Aaron Boone

Thought Fletcher would have got the new manager bounce especially as he got the blessing of Sir Alex.

Alex Ferguson won 38 trophies when he was in the Old Trafford hot seat so his opinion matters.

Look-Up!

Season not over. If they get CL qualification it'll be a positive improvement but long way to go as there are a good few gaps in quality in the overall squad and first team.

One thing from the game that sticks out. Immediately after they scored they went on the break, looked a foot taller, crowd were on their feet. It was like the Utd of old. You're thinking here we go. Ball comes to Zirkzee, just a simple tap pass to keep the move going, he gives it away under no pressure. You could hear the wind leave the stadium.

Another waste of clothes that fella.

Criminal that they havent brought in a midfielder or striker in January.

Substandard

Mayo, Brighton,  shite weather.  A stellar day.
So many players clearly not up to standard, and the few that show glimpses of quality are too inconsistent.

A couple of people commending young Lacey's "Passion." Away and give your head a wobble, absolute petulance and stupidity when on a yellow to slam the ball on the ground like that was only going be one outcome.

Have just seen the sending off now,
stupidity I'd agree. If VAR was in operation it could have been red for his challenge.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

It's hard to see Utd finishing 4th. They've already played Burnley and Wolves twice. It will all come down to how inconsistent Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Villa remain.

When the good days return - Man Utd fans will appreciate them - just like they appreciated them in 1993 the last time round.....

Whether he is a kid or not he was booked a few minutes earlier. He got what he deserved. A yellow card everytime.he will learn from it. But may not fulfil his potential at United because of thr mess the club is in.
What was worse was fletcher complaining about it.

I dont see potential in Dorgu or sesko. Mount is not worth a starting position
