I think this is the way inter-county football will go in the championship.

Bit strange why Skinny Bradley is starting. Thought he'd be better as impact sub.

Yes, with a mighty haul of 2 x intermediate titles and zero junior.

Whilst it's nigh on impossible to get a level playing field outside of senior, 1 county winning 50% of the All Ireland junior titles is just ridiculous

Glenullin should be playing senior championship imo

Tatler Jack

Based on what I have seen só far Glenullin should be playing Junior. Can't tackle, can't win the ball and can't score. Torturous stuff to watch.

Quote from: gallsman on January 11, 2026, 03:10:31 PMYeah, I'd not be arguing too much about how Glenullin are really up against it at intermediate level given this is their 62643874th bite at the cherry in the last few years.

Call to stop whining immediately followed by a whine, glorious 🤙

Look up the definition of irony there like a good lad. Every day's a school day.

And as has been pointed out to you, that's down to Kerry for years getting away with, for example, their 9th best club playing intermediate because their senior championship has the divisions. It's not because that 9th best club plays completely irrelevant D1 league games in March.

Simple rule from Croke Park, if you reach Division 1 in your county you're immediately ineligible to play Junior football. Although Glenullin playing like a junior team here. Absolutely awful

Last time I watched Glenullin was against Galbally in '22. Not much has changed it seems

Would it be ok if they played intermediate? What's the cutoff?

Absolutely lovely of Glenullin to use the approach of sitting back and allowing An Gaeltacht have possession of the ball and control the pace of the game against a Gaeltacht side that played extra-time last week and had a fair few of their players with knocks and who looked to be struggling for fitness. Couldn't have done more to make it easier for them.

Milltown Row2

Think it should be simple enough..

Counties should be able to run their competitions whatever way they want. No issues with how Kerry do it..

BUT

Entering the provincial and All Ireland series should be made up of
Senior from Div 1 teams
Intermediate should be Div2
Junior from Div 3 and below

Counties then can cook the books anyway they want after that, but a team that wins their county title at whatever level can only progress into the latter stages if they meet that requirement. If not a county can nominate the actual team from that level

Glenullin standing way too far off their man, Allowing the gael to build attacks from just outside the 45.

Glenullin seem to have an only-the-shooters-and-only-from-shooting-positions policy.

I hope they lose.

Horrible team.

gallsman

This hasn't got any better  :o .

Some solid tackling from Glenullin at least.
