The players are more than likely also there for the coin

Its a shambles from Tyrones point of view. Plenty of hurling clubs to gather up a panel of 30 lads.

Load up with antrim lads hoping to get a run out in croker..for them to say they can't be arsed travelling the following year and them get beat out the gate every game. Play at your level

2 decent hurling clubs, only named a panel of 21 as far as I know

Wouldn't know enough to comment otherwise but plenty of hurling clubs is in absolutely no way true. 4 total and 2 of them are of a very low level

They are young and think 1 of them may have been about the Antrim panel last year, maybe got the opportunity and thought it be worth a go. get used to a county set up, playing 70 mins and then in the next few years get back at the Antrim panel. Not saying it's the right thing to do but that's exactly what's happened with Duffin at TNN, easy to say it's about money.

Agree with the point in general though, Tyrone should have enough good hurlers. I mean Carrickmore won Ulster intermediate and were pushed in Tyrone by Dungannon so the talent is there, unless won't commit to the county

St Brigids a post up trying to recruit hurlers/students in Belfast. Will they turn into their footballers?

If a player has stopped playing for their local club, or if a student living 80 odd miles from home what's the harm?

More people playing the better..

Let's encourage more people hurling
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Why would we encourage people to play hurling? you wise?? Make the players travel back to their own clubs no matter how far away they are!

Beat by kildare in brutal conditions.

It's gonna be a long year. I know we've had a lot of retirements in recent years and in fairness to Kildare they're a decent side but today was just the epitome of how far we've gone backwards under Davy.

I didn't know it was on clubber until it was over.
In terms of team sheet we are down the spine of a team so cant really expect to beat anyone. Has eoghan campbell definitely left the panel?
Any updates on others? Im guessing keelan is getting a rest?
Paddy burke should be back soon
Ryan mcgarry?
Ciaran Clarke was back late on for BC
Has niall mckenna dropped off?
Ciaran johnston?
James also to come back

Brutal conditions sounds like you're making an excuse. Were the conditions better for the Kildare side?

I fear for 2026!

Jesus chill out, i was only saying the conditions were absolutely horrendous and both teams struggled with it.

EC gone from what I have heard, Keelan is back, Ryan McG has left as well - personality clash.
Ciaran Johnston wasn't called up and doubt he would go regardless.
Not sure on Ciaran Clarke.

You'll never seen Ryan back while Davy is there.

Eoghan has def left the panel.

Not sure about paddy burke, last i heard he has a business to run and needs to commit to it full time - which you can fully understand.

James is in Australia but will be home to rejoin the panel as he isnt away for long.

NorthAntrimSaff

Be interesting to know would campbell/ryan elliott etc etc be hurling if we had a different manager. As id rather them two plus ryan mcgarry as the spine of my defence than davy on the sideline doing shite interviews every other week
