Quote from: Look-Up! on January 08, 2026, 11:31:32 AMHuge opportunity for Arsenal to open up a nice cushion. City passed up some great chances.

Top 3 starting to pull away assuming Liverpool don't win tonight. A lot of clubs in the hunt to secure 4th or 5th if they can put any sort of run together in the spring.

Utd will be disappointed last night. Some great chances but Burnley defended very well. Sesko with some nice finishes under a new system and manager and passed up a few more too. Needs to build on it now.

Some drama in St. James. Leeds probably a bit naive in chasing the winner away from home.

But tonight's a bit one. Looking forward to it.
As did Brighton. City losing there two centre halves in the one game is certainly going to make things difficult for them. Three draws in a row over the New Year isn't what they needed.

Arsenal should win the league handy from here, best squad in the League. Tonight they will want to score early as if Liverpool are in the game after half time I would expect a very nervy stadium based on last few seasons.  Liverpool haven't offered much of late  outside the Inter game to suggest they could do City a turn tonight.

Hope you're right. I said last month City squad was much more vulnerable to injury and would be stretched in the spring but any injury crisis would need to come after transfer window closes.

Now talk of them wiping Liverpool's eye with Guehi.

Arsenal a great squad but I wouldn't be that confident of a win tonight. These type of games usually spring a surprise.

I wonder will Liverpool show up tonight? Save them a flight and accommodation

According to the doomsday supporters they are getting hammered lol

Here's what I know, crying a defeat won't make them try harder, or make the result (if they are beat) any better but hopefully Slot has them reading he board for inspiration  ;D

I'm backing them at 9/2

Mourne Red

I don't know why but I've tonight being a draw. Liverpool always seem to turn up against Arsenal.. Then City will spend £150m this January and win the title.

Maybe I just don't want to get my hopes up that's why I'm negative

Blowitupref

Uneventful half between Arsenal and Liverpool.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Would be worried for Arsenal if they don't win this one. The doubts might creep in after losing out on the league the last few years, especially with City sure to bring in big signings this month.

Gael85

Arsenal playing for the draw. Liverpool have no presence up front.

Milltown Row2

2 shots on target 2 corners one card!

Proper blockbuster

I don't usually get involved in the "it's a shite league this season" conversation as I don't have any skin in it.

But it's a truly shite league this year. Truly, truly shite.

If any English team ends up dominating the CL this season, then it's a monumentally shite season for the sport.

Don't think theres much competition out there

square_ball

Martinelli is some tr**p. A Liverpool player should have filled him.

Mourne Red

Called the draw. Poor performance and hopefully that doesn't mean doubt will creep in.

As an Arsenal fan, Martinellis acted the **** there no need for it at all given the way Bradley went down

Milltown Row2

So the hammering never happened

Both played for a draw and did Liverpool have a shot on target?
