As an outsider looking in I think Trump is an imbecile and as he is in charge of the most powerful nation in the world that makes him very different. I dont follow US politics to know why people voted or didnt vote for a particular candidate apart from the obvious reasons so I have no clue why it happened if I am honest

If Trump wasn't up to his ears with Epstein and all over the files, they'd have been released, totally unredacted, months ago.

It won't matter! None of this matters to his base and the majority of his voters, who are not all MAGA. That is such an easy cop-out too. They know who he is and what he is about but still 77m voted him in.

From the outside the USA is a mad kip, but it has been for years. The very facts Trump was ever in the mix for running proves that. In Europe we are used to getting patted on the head and told we are great friends, but now Trump is just treating everyone who isn't of use to him the same. So, now Europe gets a taste of what has been served up for years.

Trump didn't create inequality, racism and all that. It's always been there! But it's easier to blame one person or movement for this instead of admitting Democrats are not always the good guys.

Like why are we all jumping up and down and even remotely surprised when some other batshit thing is said or done?! It just gets pumped onto our social media and TV screens and off everyone goes again, meanwhile he ploughs on and does what he wants.

When things get closer to the next election all the MAGA and Republican fighting will stop and they'll anoint a new leader under his watch. Meanwhile the Democrats don't seem to have anyone ready to take them on, because their heads are spinning reacting to head the ball's latest idea, soundbite, etc.

Again it's easy to just blame the MAGA's but there are millions who voted for him and they just like certain things about him and will ignore his many flaws because it benefits them. Plus he's a Republican and that's how they vote.

FFS we have record homelessness, crazy house prices, a crumbling health service but the people who go out and vite tend to be doing OK so we have Fine Gael for 15 years topped up with some Fianna Fail when needed throughout this period. It's the same over there. The people who have a few quid want to keep it and they vote accordingly.
